ITALIANS NEED TO BE MORE ORGANISED. PEOPLE DO GO FOR 2 WEEKS, BUT THEY ONLY WORK OUT FOR ONE WEEK, SO SHOWS SAME BOTH WEEKS, SHOWS DO'S IN DAY MOSTLY FOR ITALIANS, FOREIGNERS. NOT BRITISH.BEDTIME BEFORE WE KNEW WHEN GOING ON OUTING NEXT DAY. AS TOPIC NEWSLETTER NOT DELIVERED TILL AFTER GONE FOR DINNER.WAITING OFTEN 1/2 3/4 OR HR BEFORE WENT BAD TOO. MEALS NOT GOOD, ONLY WARM OFTEN AND NOT ALWAYS COOKED ENOUGH.TOO LONG WAIT OFTEN 25 OR 1/2 PAST 9 BEFORE 1ST COURSE. SO OFTEN 10.30PM BEFORE FINISHED.ONLY 1 WAITER SOME TIMES WHO HAD TO SERVE BOTH MEALS AND DRINK, WRONG.ITALIANS LIKE LENGHY MEAL TIMES AS TALK ALL THE TIME, WE DIDNT. TOO NOISY ON DECK ESPECIALLY 1ST WK. BEING DUMPED AT END OF CRUISE TERRIBLE. NEVER HAD IT BEFORE. LEFT OVER 5 1/2 HRS BY SHOPS WHEN DIDNT WONT SHOPS AS ALL PACKED UP TERRIBLE. HAD TO JUST FIND SOMEWHERE TO SIT. OUR FLIGHT WAS 20.30PM. NEVER AGAIN. AMERICAN PROCEDURE. HAVE ENGLISH SHIPS IN FUTURE. DIDNT LIKE PAYING 11$ EACH PER DAY FOR SERVICE CHARGE. 3 DAYS HUSBAND HAD TO FETCH DRINKS AS NO BAR STAFF ON. WHY I DONT KNOW. NOBODY SEEM TO BE DRINKING MUCH. AND MOSTLY WHEN HAPPY HOUR ON.WHEN LEFT SHIP FOR MIAMI AND HOME A DISASTER, NO ONE SEEMED TO KNOW WHICH BUS WE HAD TO GET. THEN WHEN A BUS CAME IN AND WE GOT ON, LADY MADE US WAIT TO SEE IF ANY MORE TO COME. STUPID AS ALL OFF SHIP OVER 1/2 HR. JUST COS GOT FREE SEATS. NO ORGANIZATION AT ALL. STILL GAVE US LESS TIME TO HANG AROUND MIAMI. 5 1/2 HRS BAD ENOUGH. I'LL SAY NO MORE, JUST WOULDNT RECCOMEND IT. THINK I'M GETTING TO OLD FOR CUISES AND I AM DISABLED NOW TOO, WALKING A PROBLEM.

The food was the worst, the quality was horrible! I lost weight because there was nothing I could stomach! (I am not picky, Wendy's fast food would have been a huge improvement. The scrambled eggs were powdered. There was even a note on the menu that all meat/seafood was frozen and defrosted. They charge for anything to drink other than coffee, or tap water. They have other dinning options on board that you can pay extra for and the food is just slightly better.(still pretty bad mind you and you pay $30 extra a head) The staff is poorly trained I would hate to think how they would react in an emergency situation. They are unable to "think out of the box". It is an Italian cruise line, however don't think it is going to be anything like what you would have to dine on in Italy! The goal seems to be to get you to charge more. I spent an extra $1300 on board and I did not shop! that was just food and drinks for my son and I, add that to the $1700 spent booking and it was a $3,000 cruise! November 7-14 Costa Atlantica (this was my first cruise and everyone that I spoke to on board who were experienced cruisers said not to let this taint my opinion of cruises, that this was not the norm for other cruise lines. )
