Do Not Trust Your Car With Meet And Greet
We left our car with Meet and Greet at East Midlands airport on 6th of June 2018 and, before going to the airport my husband had the car washed as he always likes it to look nice being as it is the first new car he has had and was brand new in October 2016.
Upon out return in the early hours of the 21st June 2018 he was handed a piece of paper saying that he would need to take the car to a car wash because it was absolutely filthy as they are having construction work done and there was a large amount of dust because of it and they had been unable to get it cleaned prior to our arrival and to send in the bill and we would be reimbursed for the cost.
When the car was washed my husband saw scratches and a small dent in the rear passenger door which were not there before ( he always wipes the car down after it has been washed so knows every inch of the car ). He contacted the airport who asked him to provide pictures of the " alleged" damage which he did. They then sent back a picture which they say is off their high resolution camera showing the damage already there yet, despite putting it on full magnification, we cannot see any marks on their picture at all. We were also told that their terms and conditions state that any damage must be reported to them prior to leaving the airport. HOW? It was approximately 01:00 hrs when we went to collect the car so it was dark. The car had a thick layer of dust on it so how were we supposed to see the damage? My husband put it to them that he believes they KNEW the car had been damaged in their car and was deliberately left in an area where the dust would cover it up and then the car was delivered to us so we could not see the damage and they could try to wriggle out of their responsibility by using the terms and conditions card.My husband has asked them THREE times for the name of their Public Liability insurer and has been ignored every time nor have we got the £12 car washing fee back yet.
This is a truthful account of how Meet and Greet parking at East Midlands airport have treated us I will leave it up to each of you to decide if you are going to use them but, if you take our advise, before leaving your vehicle TAKE PLENTY OF PICTURES OF IT and make them aware of you doing it and if they deliver your car to you in a filthy condition refuse to take it away until such time it has been cleaned there and you can examine it before leaving.
We have already persuaded some of our friends to get to this airport via other means and we won't be parking there again

"upgraded", Couln't Enter Or Exit The Carpak
We booked for a July holiday and were upgraded to a closer car-park. On arrival, the ANPR system did not recognise my number-plate. Pressed button and was allowed entry but double-checked I would not have issues on exiting and was satisfactorily reassured. Unfortunately I could not exit. Pressed for assistance - nothing for 5 minutes and then hung up on me. Tried again, no response. Changed exit-lane and same problem. Another 5 minute wait before someone actually let me out. Complete farce - will use taxi next time!
Vehicle Scratched
Convenient , easy parking but on return from the last 2 visits to see me in Tenerife my partner has found deliberate scratches down the sides of his vehicles . He took extra care on parking this last visit so he thought it very safe but to no avail , a new discovery damaged again . In future he will either avoid parking there altogether or use the park & delivery system. Is there no security ?
Arrival Chaos
I have travelled back to East Midlands Airport twice in the last ten days from Malaga once on Jet2 and once on Ryanair. They were both short business trips and on both occasions it took some 40 minutes to get through passport control.
Both the passport control facilities and the baggage reclaim facilities are completely inadequate for the number of passengers using the airport. I hope to hear that there are plans to enlarge and improve the facilities in the near future.

We Usually Go Out Of Our Way To Fly From East Midlands *****
This is a VERY efficient airport well planned out easy to navigate etc good parking / shuttle service really good selection of restaurants and shops and seating areas.
The security check inn is always relatively easy as easy as these things can be & on return the luggage has always arrived promptly
our return flight last week we landed at 7.04pm we returned to the airport building through security collected our luggage caught the shuttle buss to the air park and were in the car and on our way home by 7.30
I have no complaints and have used this airport about 9 times now

Can Car Park Remove Your Car For A Festival
on return from holiday we caught the shuttle bus to jet park 1 to discover the car park virtually empty all the cars that were there including ours had disappeared we asked about 20 young people what had happened and they said they were holding a festival they told us our car had probably been removed it was parked on row g we were told to look around for it.we eventually found it in a corner i cannot understand how anyone could move it because it was locked in 1 st gear with the hand brake on . the car park was not secure no barriers were working i can only be thankful i got back in time before the festival kicked off the festival is the very last place i would have parked my car i would have rather parked on an estate and it would have been free

The meet and greet car park is an excellent service at East Midlands Airport. We travel quite frequently and will use this service again. We will defiantely recommend this service to our family and friends. We liked the fact that staff met us on arrival. They were polite and helpful. When we arrived back we had no problems locating our car.

Easy Parking And Transfer
We are both OAP,s and were quite worried about finding and parking at EM, but when we booked on line with Jet Plus -which was an easy process we were given a map on completion and we just followed th map - easy. The only problem we had was on entering and leaving the car park we had to ask for help, which was very prompt, so not really a big problem. having parked the car, there was plenty of spaces, a short walk to the bus stop and picked up within 5 minutes. THANKYOU

Good location at short stay. Number plate recognition did not work on entry, so make sure you have ref number waited a few minutes at gate. Great parking for location to arrivals and departures

Arriving In The Dark Hours
Long stay car park 1, Certainly needs more space to park cars, really difficult to park in the dark hours. The white lines separating cars are not good, MORE SPACE LESS CARS so I suppose you have no chance of that! Also could do with someone making sure cars are parked better. Took me longer to walk to departures than 3-5 mins as advertised. Have to walk the long way round because of cars so close. However airport was a dream to depart and return, very good indeed. Would certainly use again but would find alternative parking.
