Don’t Leave Your Car With Them - Damaged Alloy

First and last time using 'I love meet and greet' Gatwick. All was fine until I had an issue with a damaged alloy. As advised on their website I emailed them with photos of the damage, no telephone number to call which is frustrating. The reply was 'As per our terms and conditions any reports of alleged damage need to be reported at the airport prior to your vehicle leaving our care and control', what's the point in asking you to email them with any issues if that is their policy? At 1.52am in the morning the last thing I thought to do was check my alloys, that aside it was dark and the guy dropping the car off couldn't get away quick enough, he almost took my key with him. You are also advised to leave the forecourt promptly to avoid any further fees due to the new airports charging scheme.

Due to their lack of customer care and attitude towards my complaint I checked my dashcam footage as any bumps would have been picked up by that, to my surprise the 8th June has completely disappeared from the memory card, every other date is there but not the date I left my car in their care. The dashcam is permanently on as the on/off button no longer works, the only way to disable it is to unplug it, had they done this on their journey it would have still shown the 2 journeys I did on the 8th before leaving my car with them. The only explanation is that they have deleted the footage for the 8th June which is an admission of guilt in itself. I requested the photos that they took of my car at drop off which they eventually provided me with, these clearly show the damage was not there when I dropped the car off.

The most annoying part of this is that I understand accidents happen, had they just owned up to it and dealt with it then I would have probably used them again but I will not use a company that lies and covers up their mistakes. Avoid at all costs, there are better ones out there.

Beware!

Courteous Meet & Greet service, BUT!

They scratched my car underneath the front bumper quite significantly, clearly very hard to spot during the quick check upon collecting the car. I suspect the driver knew something as he explicitly advised me to hold on to their ticket "in case you need to report a scratch or something".

Discovered these significant scratches right upon returning home while washing the car and emailed their support.

They refuse to fix the scratch as "You failed to report the alleged damage before leaving the terminal as required under our terms and conditions and your car has now left our care and control."

Be vigilant and inspect your car very thoroughly as this firm won't otherwise accept what's clearly had been their fault.

Excellent Service - Don't Be Put Off By Bad Reviews

Was a bit dubious about booking them after reading some negative reviews, but I cannot fault this service. The guys were waiting for us at the airport and on return the arrived with our vehicle after only a five minute wait. The vehicle had no damage or any unexpected additional mileage (12 miles added). The guys were easy to find and were very friendly and professional. Would definitely use them again - very impressed.

Another Damaged Car By Ilovemeetandgreet Gatwick

I left my car with ilovemeetandgreet at Gatwick North terminal for two weeks at the end of December 2015. The car was inspected by the collecting driver with an inspection form completed. When it was returned I immediately noticed that a wheel had been badly damaged together with sidewall damage to the tyre. This was shown to the driver and photographed at the terminal. The drlver undertook to report the incident to his supervisor. I telephoned customer service and emailed copies of the photos. It took three weeks, three further emails and a phone call before I got a response which was to deny liability. A number of emails were then exchanged, they based their denial of liability on the basis that their own inspections weren't conclusive, so what's the point of an agreed inspection with the driver when the car is dropped off. The next rediculous excuse was that there are no kerbs between the car park and the terminal. Google street view indicates that this is nonsense.i would not recommend using this company and it should be noted that APH subcontract their meet and greet North terminal to this company.

Damage To Car

I left my car at the Stanstead I love to park, which is the same company as I love to meet and greet, from the 16th November 2015 - 22 November 2015 and when I returned there was damage to my rear bumper. When I left my car no annotated diagram of my car was done that I had to sign which would be good practice just like they do with hire car companies. When I pointed out the damage to the company the supervisor took a picture of the damage and said he would investigate. I wrote an e-mail to customer services on my return home. It was three weeks before they said that the investigation had been completed and they denied all responsibility. They said that all their drivers do annotated diagrams of the cars so the damage couldn't possibly have been done by them. My reply to this is that if the driver damaged the car while moving it. He would hardly incriminate himself by doing a truthful annotated diagram. Unfortunately it is my word against theirs. What I would advise anybody reading this is that don't leave your car with a company where you have to hand over you keys. It is much better to pay a bit extra and park in a secure car park where you park the car and take the keys with you.

Hassle Free Parking

We used a meet and greet service for Gatwick Airport as was travelling with a one year old baby so had additional luggage with prams etc.

Their service was fabulous. We rang just as we joined the M23, and a very courteous man was there to collect the car. He even unloaded all the cases for us, and gave us time to double check that we had everything with us about 5 times!!

On the return journey, we called them once we had gone through customs, and they were there waiting for us at passenger drop off. A different man, but just as polite, and again helped us load the luggage into the car, as was a tight squeeze.

For four ladies travelling with a young baby, was a perfect hassle free service, would highly recommend, and will be using next time I travel from Gatwick.
