Luton, Purple Parking

Purple Parking meet and greet at Luton, DO NOT TRUST THEM!

I left my electric car which had 100miles battery with them. When I returned 4 days later they gave me my keys and told me my car wouldn’t start and it had to be jump started to get to the meet and greet point. This has never happened with my car so I suspected it was left on for 4 days.

My car would not turn on at all and I was travelling alone with 2 young kids at 12.30 in the morning. The staff were very dismissive and the manager was beyond rude. He would not let me speak, would not accept any responsibility for the car nor would he help me and my kids get home.

At around 3.30am with crying children I gave up and caught an expensive cab home and arranged for AA to go fix my car. The manager was then rude to the AA mechanic and would not initially give access to my car.

Long story short I now have my car but my car battery has been significantly impacted, probably from being jump started. I complained to customer services and unsurprisingly they have denied any wrong doing, not apologised, not compensated me for a damaged car / taxi fares and judging by the lack of consequences or no accountability this kind of service will just continue.

Please save yourself the grief DO NOT USE PURPLE PARKING rather catch a cab. It’s not worth it!

Rang purple parking when we came off of our flight, got to the car park to pick up car , still no car after 20mins it finally came an hour later! Stood in the freezing cold with 2 children. Every time we rang or spoke to someone on site they kept telling us it is coming. Absolute shocking company do not use!!!

Just off the M1 and very easy to find. Touch screen checking in and collection of keys at the end is very easy just remember you need those bar-codes. Staff are on hand to help.Would definitely use them again if flying from Luton.

Clean and comfortable mini bus. Parking was quick to get to from M1, staff were friendly and toilets were spotless clean. Bus stop at airport was close to the building, just a little walk away. Would definitely use this again if flying from Luton.

They do the searching for the cheapest parking sites, letting you avoid the profiteers.

The thing that impressed me most at Luton was not only how close to the terminal I could park but how amazingly friendly and chirpy the guys were who took my car, considering it was very cold and very early. Helped start my very long day with a smile. The staff were great.

Parking attendant very helpful and friendly airport staff were willing to help with any emergency plus good variety of shops & food over all a good place to start your holiday

Proximity to the airport is about 15 mins accessed through a village. The drop off of keys system was easy to negotiate. Helpful staff. If you are in a rush, perhaps due to M1 traffic it maybe an issue as buses leave approx every 20 mins and if you miss one!!!! The pick up of keys system was a surprise but it worked very well, you need to make sure you have kept your drop off ticket safe which has a bar code to be scanned and 'opens the box' to your keys.

It would have been useful to know the bus stop number/letter on return back to Luton.

A good value airport car park but allow time for transfer.

We parked at Airparks in Luton through Purple Parking. Was brilliant value for money. When we got there it was just so easy. Dropped keys and waited in shelter for the bus service. On return there was no queuing. Simply enter code in to terminal and key was in its own secure box. Ingenious. Thank you.
