Terrible Staff, Terrible Prices, Terrible Experience
Dalaman airport has got to be one of the most poorly managed, terrible places I have ever had the displeasure of being. for starters the prices are absolutely ridiculous nearly £2 for a bottle of water!!! my main issue however is the staff at DLM. during my time there a child was sick on the floor and not a single wellness check was given nor was the puddle of vomit cleaned up for a good 25 minutes despite the fact at least 8 staff members (cleaners included) stepped over said puddle. whilst there we were taken for random searches during this one of the staff members groped my partner complaints about this have been filed with both the airport and airline we flew with but still yet to hear anything back. In conclusion I would rather walk on burning coals than ever step foot in dalaman airport again and if you can avoid flying there I would recommend to do so.

This has to be the most expensive and greediest airport I have ever flown from
Small bottle of water £5 and a sandwich was £10
How dare they take the pi.. out of tourists that holiday in Turkey because without the tourists they would be bankrupt!
Rant over…
Outrageous prices, I payed 20 Euro for a small cheese and slice of tomato bap and cappuccino. I waiting for my change but got none, I told the girl I wasn't going to pay that and wanted to return it and refund me. I hadnt even touched the tray but she refused, I took the tray and sat down, took a sip of the cappuccino and it was literally a cup of hot water and hardly any coffee taste, by this time I was so angry I took the tray back and told them how disgusting it was, I told them they could keep it and I didn't want it. She then offered me a Fanta or a slice of cake which was not my order and this made me even angrier. I lost my 20 Euro and was completely disgusted by the extortion I experienced. So please folks, please be very careful at Dalman Airport, take a prepared food parcel and don't expect any coffee!

Rip Off Food Prices
Firstly. I’ll start with the staff and personnel at the airport. At check in the staff on the EasyJet desk were excellent and very polite. Likewise going through all the security desks where there are many. I know many others have had problems but no issues here. My only gripe and it’s been said before was the pricing of food and drink. We only fancied a snack so went to SIMIT SARAYI . Ordered two chocolate croissants, one cappuccino, one americano with milk and a small (500ml)of water.
I asked to pay in Stirling and got my twenty pound note out, ready to pay. A quick till check by the cashier and I was told £33 pounds……wtf!
Heard loads of people sitting down with orders of McDonald’s and Kentucky etc complaining about the price.
Yes, we accept airports charge more but this is extortionate by any standards.

Rude And Impolite Security Staff Of Dalaman Airport
My family and I spent our holidays in Marmaris. We had a very horrible experience in Marmaris airport, Dalaman Airport, in the gate for checking our back bag and carry on, just before the entrance of duty free.
I asked one of the staff if I have to put my lap top in the basket separately, a very rude woman, (who we couldn’t understand how and why she did hire!) she throw the basket several times toward me and say something in Turkish. Finally her colleagues told me she means put your watch in this basket not your laptop! Her behavior was So rude, so shameful!! Why they supose all the people can understand their language? why they think their language is speaking internationally? they are mad????
Then she throw several basket toward my mom when she understand we are together. So rude! Shame on those staff who have such behavior. and SHAME ON their careless MANAGERS OF DALAMAN AIRPORT as well.
I understood she will supported by her manager or the police of the airport, because when I asked her colleagues to meet security manager and tell her/him about this bad and harsh behavior which could harm my mother and me, she started to shouting, my brother came and asked her to stop shouting, but she continued with a load voice with out any shame, it seems its their routine behavior
How dare they are! It was so shameful, who did give them the permission to have such rude and wild behavior toward tourist who spend so much money in such a mad country?!
Did the Dalaman Airport do any mental test during hiring their staff?
Did they even train to know how to do their job respectfully?
I don’t want to spend so much money in the country that even an ordinary staff of security personnel have such rude and impolite behavior to me, just because of asking! SHAME ON her and the MANAGER of her that let her to do such behavior.
As other staff of the airport told me, the manager can check the cameras and see who was that rude lady, but guess what did they answerer me via email????
Their shameful answer: "the personnel working in the area you mentioned are included in the first training list for the next training, and their names are given to the training officer."
I don't know how could they train an abnormal person for this position with the direct contact with passengers!
I still feel fear inside me because of this abnormal security staff behavior and will complain to a higher authority of the international airports out of Turkey.
I had send the cc of this email to the central security office of the airports in Turkey.
As I did not receive any answer, it is my duty to aware other passenger to know that between the personnel in the Marmaris airport security team, there is or may be there are several person with a mental problem, and no one cares.
So I will write on different site about this rude and wild behavior of abnormal security staff to aware other passenger of this damn Airport!
People must be more careful in all the airports of Turkey, apparently no one control the airports' security staff!
I absolutely agree I too found staff extremely rude it was scary I will never return to Turkey for this reason it’s the worst airport I have ever been too shocking horrible unfriendly never ever again people should avoid avoid avoid there are far nicer places to holiday with much nicer people who are welcoming and friendly this is truly a horrible horrible airport the worst I felt traumatised after a 2 week holiday never again

I Can't Express Enough How Much I Would Advise Any
I can't express enough how much I would advise anyone to avoid this hell hole all costs. The arrival wasn't quite as awful and distressing as the departure, wow, words cannot express how terrible it is. The reviews here are on point. An airport apparently run by the military who treat you like a terrorist. The queues are extreme and the refreshments are daylight robbery. I was physically manhandled at the 2nd set of baggage security, I feel raped, after queuing for over an hour for baggage drop off, then going through the dreadful passport security - with no eye contact or verbal communication. Go there and you will be a lamb going to the slaughter. Avoid at all costs if you have any self respect.
Experienced Health Endangerment During Security Check
I experienced physical assault and health endangerment during security check.
The metal detector bleeped as I walked through it and a female security staff started touching my waist nervously saying “what is this”, visibly annoyed and speaking in Turkish. These were the only words said in English during the whole interaction. She was very abrupt and rude. Touched me like an object and not a person. I couldn’t understand from her body gestures what I should do next. She started walking aside without a word in English. I found out I had to follow which I did for about a meter. But since I didn’t know where and for how long I was going, I went back to get my stuff, as my phone was lying on top of my handbag in a tray which had all my essential personal property including boarding pass and I couldn’t risk losing it. I got my small backpack as well. When she saw me hold my belongings, she aggressively pulled me by my backpack back towards the security trays. If I was to fall on the hard tiled/stone floors I could have fractured or broken my hip where I have metal work (replacement). Pulling me was a physical assault and health endangerment. She treated me horrendously, like a piece of furniture. Her second pat-searching was aggressive. I asked her to speak in English. When I turned around for the back side pat, I saw people looking with horror and disbelief on their faces. Then I was taken for the x-ray scan which was at the end of all the security check zone. I couldn’t have left my belongings the first time, especially without knowing where I was going. I asked for a head of security who appeared to be a police man standing there and watching over the security checks. Whilst still working the woman said “OK, sorry” which was not an apology at all. The policeman said “she apologised, what do you want me to do?”. With the use of translator in phone, I expressed a wish to write a complaint. The policeman took me to the office where he checked the CCTV and concluded that I was not pulled strongly and that I didn’t follow the instructions. The woman came and said I didn’t respond to her instructions which she claimed to have given me multiple times. I don’t speak Turkish and there was no communication in English, but still I complied thoroughly to the best of my ability. I insisted the pulling was not OK under any circumstances among humans in any part of the world. The police people kept on dragging writing a report and kept on reminding me I could miss my flight. They clearly didn’t want to do anything about it. What’s more scary, they lied saying I didn’t comply. I was told the woman was very upset. Clearly, she didn’t expect her behaviour to be challenged. I ran out of time and went to catch my flight without writing a report. I only left with a piece of paper to say I had an argument with a security officer. The woman looked happy I didn’t write a report and didn’t say a single word of apology before I left. Never been physically assaulted in the past. I am at home now and still in a state a shock.
I had the same kind of experience yesterday. An absolute disgrace. Never again. I would encourage anybody to avoid this like the plague. We should be able to sue for the way this airport behaves.

Deceived
I have been many airports to date and I must confess dalaman is the worst one.
Starting with the prices: it is a joke. I don't know who regulates them but they charge £12 coffee, £3 a small bottle of water.
No water fountains. you are forced to pay for extortionate prices for commodity they must supply for free of charge. Drink well before.
No rubbish bins around. People chuck stuff around / leaving rubbish on the tables.
Long queue /multiple security checks. Your hand bag will be openly investigated - consider you are entering a prison not in an airport.
Toilets: cleaning staff do exist and wonder around but they don't seem to clean anything / fill up supplies. It is obvious to me there is no proper management/monitoring
The only good thing about this airport is that they have plenty of smoking lounges -only good if you are a smoker though
I disagree, there is nothing good about this nightmare. :-(
