We booked a Smart, and instead we got a Smart cabrio. When we got the car, we were told that the a/c was broken and they had not enough time to fix it. So they would rent it to us with a 20% discount. We accepted the offer, but in a hot August it was not the best idea. The car was a very old car and was not exactly, that car that they display at their website.

We wouldn't recommend this car rental company.

I got my car in the airport. Company representative ( Ivo ) came to the airport earlier than my arrival time, sort out the documents quickly and made it easier and smooth for my family so in less than 10 min we were on our way to the Hotel. The car was small but nice and reliable ( you don't need big car in Santorini, trust me).

NEVER RENT FROM THEM! Here is my story:

I booked an automatic convertible which cost more but I wanted a convertible in Santorini.

The rep was waiting for us at the Santorini airport. Like a normal car company he tried to pressure me into extra insurance but he seemed very aggravated that i didn't take it. Without even seeing the car he had me sign all the papers.

We saw the car and from the outside looked like the one we ordered. He gave me the keys and started to walk away. I asked how do I close the roof? He said "you don't" and he quickly left the scene. I wondered why he was in such a hurry to leave.

We got into the car and it was FILTHY!!! Dirt, and dust covered the inside of the car.

While I was driving my wife tried the A/C but it wouldn't turn on. Not even a fan!! That was when I should have called the company and asked for my money back but I didn't. HUGE MISTAKE.

I continued up the hills to my hotel and I realized that every time I stepped on the gas on a hill the car would roll backwards like on a standard transmission (except I had no control over it) and the car would barely make it up the hills while the pedal was pushed to the floor. We parked the car and drove it the next day with the same problems.

The day after in the morning I was driving to the beach when a car pulled out suddenly into my lane. I hit the horn but no sound came out. I swerved to avoid an accident and afterwards start pressing the steering wheel to ge the horn to work. NO HORN. When I got back to the hotel later that day I emailed the company to complain. They told me I wasn't using the horn properly and I should try again.

We set off to Oia that afternoon, trying out the horn with no luck. After the sunset we had dinner and drove back at night. Turned on the lights. NO LIGHTS! On a cliff side road that is very dangerous. I had to follow a bus all the way back so I was able to see where i was going.

I emailed the owner telling him about his car and he told me that was the car I picked. After a couple emails he told me there was nothing he could do. I told him that is not true. He could give me part of my money back or at the very least apologize. HE WOULDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE. NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! THE CARS ARE UNSAFE TO DRIVE! STAY AWAY!

we booked a car online 2 days before arrival.

the service of eh company is a 5 star! they came on time, called us over the phone to make an appointment. the car was new and clean. the gentlemen who did the contract spoke excellent English, gave us a map and also spend some time with us introducing spots, good restaurants and beaches..

About a week ago we've rented a Smart Cabrio at the Airport.

Car itself was exactly as reserved and presented clean and in perfect condition.

No problems at all with our car,was an excellent choice.

The agent who delivered the car was polite and explained us everything we need to know about the car and the island.

They provide a great service to all visitors&we were very pleased with our selection!

When I hired a car from this company, I encountered 2 unbelievable things. Firstly I hired a GPS and I was supplied with a useless GPS without street map. Secondly when I return the car, no one picked up the car and I was told to leave it in front of airport. Then I was told there were scratches on the car and they charged 400 Euro from my credit card. I told them that I had not noticed scratches and asked them to provide me a picture to show the scratches. I was told by email that they would send me a picture to show the scratches, but they never sent me the picture to show the scratches.

Recently found this Santorini Holiday Cars through the web. Do not be fooled by this professionally done website. The person who delivered the car (only after I got the hotel staff to call them) was very rude. Before going there, I had emailed the co asking if my home country's (outside of EU) driver's license can be accepted as it was stated clearly in the FAQ section of their website but I needed confirmation. There was no reply so there was no loss. In the worst case, I don't rent the car from them as there are many other options (atvs, scooters, etc). But this guy named Ivo (dunno the spelling) was just rude, insisting there that they only accept international license and kept blaming me for asking the car to be delivered to my hotel as there are many customers waiting at the airport. When I raised the issue about their website info (about driver's license), he asked me to show him. When I showed him, he said it is meant for EU residents. Duh! nowhere was that stated in their website.

After all the hoo-ha, he decided to let me rent the car anyway but insist that I pay in cash. When all was settled I picked up the car. He gave me a very runned down, smaller and cheaper car than what I booked but charged me for the original amount (did not realise until I checked on their website later on). However, this was fine with me, only a few Euros so no big deal. Later while driving, I discovered to my horror that the car horn does not work. I find this to be unacceptable as it is dangerous especially when the roads are narrow while newbie tourist drivers are many in Santorini. I called them and demanded they change my car. He said "you told me you have more than 10 years driving experience". LOL.. so with my driving experience I don't need a horn? Maybe he should take out the seatbelt too? I was asked to take the car to their office in Kamari if I wanted to change. Okay, so off I went to Kamari but their office has no address (normal in santorini). It was getting dark and I couldn't find the office location, so I stopped by at the tourist info centre to ask. The receptionist told me she has not heard of this co before and tried calling them but there was no one to pick up the phone. So apparently they are some small ass co, pretending to be a professionally runned car rental, duping people with their fancy website. This is the only bad experience I had in an otherwise very beautiful and friendly island. Other services (hotels, restaurants) are really good. If you are going to santorini, do not ever consider this car rental company. There are too many options out there and no one needs to go experience what I went through

I totally agree that this car company is unreliable and irresponsible!

We also did not receive our car at the scheduled pick up time and location and had to call to find out what happened. They then told us that the car was unavailable as it got into an accident.

We understand accidents do happen, but what upset us the most was that they did not even bother to contact us to let us know earlier so that we could make alternative arrangements. Instead, they made us wait in vain which was a total waste of our precious travelling time. Moreover, when we called them, they did not sound apologetic and made no sincere attempts to remedy the situation. \

We were very disappointed with this awful service and strongly discourage anyone from renting from them, unless you don't mind the screwups and inconvenience they caused.

I rented from holiday cars Santorini for a week last July. They made me pay in cash on delivery. When I got home 2 weeks later, they had also charged me 110 Euros for the rental I had already paid.

Do not rent with them
