I visited my best friend in Cagliari for the first time and made a reservation for a Clio car FROM Cagliari airport. The stuff there gave us the car and proposed us to take photos of the car (which I found really weird) in order to be secured when I return the car for scratches etc. It not customers responsibility to take pictures of the car before renting the car. When we reached the car, the car was very dirty making impossible to see any defects. Anyway, we took some pictures of the car.

The first action that I did was to clean with water from the glass-cleaners and it was empty! Had to do it with a napkin!

To continue, after returning the car, a guy told me that he will go alone to check the condition WITHOUT allowing me to go with him. I asked him twice saying that it will take only 5min. After returning back he told us that there are 3 scratches in the driver's back seat and he has to report it. I told him that definitely not us and based on the photos the car was so dirty that would be impossible to see the scratches beforehand. Then he proposed that we should had go back to him and ask for another car (more cleaned). (again definitely not customer's job to ask another car, the car should be ready beforehand).

We went back to check the car and it seems that the guy from viten group knew exactly where the scratches were because he cleaned only those 3 spots in a fully dirty car....

Now how he knew where the scratches are exactly in a fully dirty car that is a mystery.

Anyway, he told me to write to viten group providing the pictures to the administration saying that I do not recognize the scratches under the dirty delivered car to me.

After 3 weeks of many mails and calls they never replied to me and they just send me an automated mail with an invoice that the damage will cost 610 EUROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they just took the money from the deposit and returned the rest to me (they asked 1400Euros for the initial deposit!!!!!!!!)

Still trying to find that BUT THEY NEVER REPLY TO ANY MAILS!!!!!

about what thay are doing. Moreover, if you do simply search about the reviews of Viten Group, you will see that they are charging most of the customers from the deposit for the scratches they have never done! They are doing it in 90% of the cases!!!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ANY COST!!!!!!!

Terrible car rental - very old cars, long waiting time, rude staff and they charge for non-existent damages.

Never use Viten Group.

At first everything went well, friendly staff at Alghero airport, we picked up the car and went to enjoy our holiday.

When we brought the car back - big change. On the park place was a guy from company not really friendly and started check the car. He was really looking for something. We couldn´t believe it, and lucky for him, he found little scratch on the bumber. Probably it caused a rock on the road, but it was very little scratch.

They charged me 300 € for this "damage". Do not ever use this company. Their policy is making good offer for rental price and then charge you for some damages. And for sure they will find some.

I regret that I didn´t find reviews earlier.

Hired a car without insurance and damaged the bumper with a dent. Checked with the Fiat workshop in Villasimius how much it would cost to fix the damage. They did a very thorough inspection, checked with the painter etc, and told me €300.

Viten Group charged me with nearly €700. I sent them a mail where I explained the above and disputed the invoice. They never even answered my email, probably because they already had withdrawed the money from my credit card and from their perspective, everything is absolutely fine...

I had all the same issues as other reviewers, dirty car all dented and scratched on delivery to me. without the damage being mentioned in the documents the only reason they possibly can have is that the are trying to withhold you, your deposit.

As I got involved in an accident I had to rent a new car. Once again I had to make a deposit. I have never seen this deposit again, although the second car was returned undamaged. They simply added it to the deposit on the first car....

As you can guess their English tongue left them completely as soon as I tried to get to them by phone.

I rented fro VitenGroup on June 2, 2015 at the Alghero airport in Sardegna. I brought the car back on time, with a full tank of gas and with no damage. I dropped the keys off at the kiosk, signed off the form indicating no damage and boarded my plane. 10 days later, I received an email from VitenGroup saying that there was a small dent under the door and that I owed them 316 euros to fix it!!!! I wrote back immediately to say they must have made a mistake as I brought the car back without any damages. They had already gone ahead and charged my Visa.

I have never been scammed before in all the times I have rented from other companies. This is my first time renting with VitenGroup and my first time scammed. I obviously will never rent from them again and am warning anyone who is considering doing so to choose a more trustworthy alternative. I wish i would have done so. VitenGroup scammed me!

It gave smash cars with a lot of damages and scratches.Didn't fix in defect list damage and scratches which we found.After said that we are blame.

Wicked people.

The customer service at the airport is "shocking" you are left to go in search of your vehicle, which will be dirty. On checking the vehicle besides dirty and other people unwanted item's in glove compartment and only half a tank of fuel when a full tank was paid for. Photo evidence was at hand.Also they park the vhicle to enable checking difficult. On returning the vehicle which they claim is "new" but has 11,000k on the clock, a scratch has appeared on the under bumper which is diputable and then bill insurance £300 for the repair.

I now see why the queue was at the Hertz Car Hire. Obviously people are aware of the "Viten Moral Policy"

Book with Viten at your peril or a good insurance policy. But remember there is always an admin fee to pay, because the policy dosn't cover this.

Horrible service!! I would not recommend this car hire company at all! They are after your money! No concept of customer service. They claim fake damages to take your deposit. They have access to your visa details and therefore can take as much cash as they like! Trust me I will never make use of the car hire company again.

Rented a car from Cagliari airport , returned it at same airport as agreed ,left key at their deposit box since it was closed at 6am.

We were told car was stolen,key missing from their deposit box with no break in we were told! They did not want to involve police to check cctv cameras of airport! When we threatened further action , suddenly they say they found car 5km away from airport and outcome they took my €600 deposit.

Complaining to bank is useless,since you would have agreed to auth. deposit.

It seems this is normal practice with car rentals since you are helpless.
