We hired a Toyota Camry for 1 week. The car was delivered on time, was clean and tidy and, despite having a lot of kms on the clock, ran without any issues on both the short and longer trips we did. No problems during drop off either. I would happily use A1 rentals again. Competitively priced too.

My wife and I were on a touring holiday of New Zealand last November when our UK arranged car Hire Company left us stranded in KeriKeri when their NZ agents had shut down their local office earlier in the year. Nobody told us, so when we arrived on a Friday evening at KeriKeri airport we were stuck without any transport.

The management at A1 Rentals at KeriKeri airport were really helpful letting us use their office and telephone to phone, not just Auckland but also the UK to try and resolve the issue with our UK agents – no luck.

In the end A1 Rentals hired us a car (cheaper than what we’d paid the UK agency) for the duration of our stay in the North island. Although they did not have an office at Auckland airport (we only wanted a one way rental) they made arrangements for us to leave the car at one of their suppliers near to the airport for them to pick up later.

We will be eternally grateful for the help and service that A 1 Rentals gave us.
