Just How Car Rental Should Be

Easy collection and drop off from the car park opposite the terminal.

Deposit returned promptly (just took a few days to be posted by my card company). Car was good. It was an upgrade (from a Aygo to a diesel Yaris) so very economical. It wasn't new, but still a nice car and no complaints. This is just a very genuine local company.

Don't be sucked in by prices that look too good to be true from Goldcar and others, as you will pay more in the long run.

I would rate this company as 4 stars - but had to give 5 as we got a free upgrade.

Excellent Service

I rented a car from Costa Coaches for pickup at Almeria Airport 2 June to 16 June 2018.

The person I dealt with was waiting for me at the Airport carpark and handed over the keys. On return I waited 5 minutes and she was there for the car return. No long queues like the rental counters in the terminal. 5 days later my €300.00 was returned to my credit card.

I had worried a lot about renting a car from any car rental company after reading a lot of the reviews on line, and I have to say the whole experience was excellent.

I would rent a car from Costa Coaches without hesitation in the future.

Do Not Use

Supposed to be enjoying our holiday so not much time to write, but this outfit is no good. Faulty cars, not enough staff, WE have to take it to get a new battery!

Costa Coches Car Was Fine But Get Correct Pick-up Procedure

We're actually more comfortable if the car isn't a shiny new trouble-magnet (this certainly wasn't). Fair fuel policy was a major attraction (return as found) as was the very reasonable rate. The booking process online went well with good comms and my email Qs answered.

PICK-UP threw up major glitches, however. Voucher for hire Oct 2014 told us we would be picked up by shuttle and taken 5 mins to off-airport site on Autovía interchange where we would get the car. Return would be reversed.

Well it wasn't. Hung around for man in promised yellow polo shirt. Asked around. Rang help number and the person at the other end seemed confused. "Find J". Eventually found a lady who took us a few metres to a car in the public car park section. She didn't know anything about my voucher instructions and had no paperwork. I was very unsure about the whole thing. Then J turned up with some paperwork with our name on it (but not the correct car reg). He'd signed the customer agreement in advance, not us. Tired and fed up, we took it. It was perfectly OK but I wonder what would have happened if the Guardia Civil had stopped us? Lacking any guidance we dropped it off where we found it, left the car park ticket in it and rang to say where it was.

But I think I'd still use them again! Just check the pick-up procedure by email.

Good Value And Problem-free Car Rental In Almeria

Booked 2 week's car rental in Almeria, based on one recommendation. We were a bit wary after reading so many negative reviews of so many car hire companies. Costa Coches replied very quickly to our email enquiry. We were met at Almeria Airport by a friendly member of staff, and our car was in the car park, waiting for us. Paid cash (329 euros), which included a 5% discount for cash payment and opted for full/full fuel policy. The lady who met us told us which petrol station was best to use when we returned. We drove off within 10 minutes - excellent! Returned the car to the same parking spot at the airport, same lady met us and all was fine. We would definitely use this car hire firm again. Easiest car hire ever!

hhhmmmm well my complaint is different. Let's see what excuse they give for my negative experience eh? This lady, was very helpful with me yesterday with emails back and forth answering all my questions. Due to the fact that I have hired before in Spain though Gold Car, what a terrible experience that was. So in order not to repeat that experience as I say, I was back and forth with questions, and she answered every question satisfactorily. This morning I go to the booking form and complete everything ie passport and driver licence details, visa card etc and get to the bottom of the page where I expect to see a price, but there wasn't so i hit return and that was that, my booking had gone through and no advice of price?????? So I email and she sends an email with attachment, which I cannot open as it contains a virus. So I send 2 more emails asking how much is the hire, NO REPLIES! I get straight onto my bank and cancel the transaction, well actually I had to cancel my card so it couldn't go through. The bank had had no notification of this transaction by Costa by this time. I now have to await a new card but it's worth it because who knows how much they were planning to take from my debit card. It is now close of business and I have sent 4 emails in total to Costa and not even the courtesy of a reply. BE WARNED DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY, THE CHEAPEST IS THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
