Irish in name only, most of the crew are foreigners so if you like a good chinwag go Stena Line. I only went on Irish as I had a train connection to catch and its boat gets in at the port first. Unfortunately it was late, despite leaving on time, and the baggage handling at the other end was slow so I missed the bus into town. Luckily I got the Stena shuttle bus which left early so I was able to get my train. I also didn’t like the layout of the ship I was on and struggled to find the open deck, and some of them are named after famous men despite ships being female.
