Zero Star.
I wouldn't even give 1 star (but I had to choose between 1 and 5). SuperShuttle is so unreliable. Some drivers are rude or drive dangerously. Customer Service is arrogant and useless.
Even when I pre-booked a ride from an airport, they couldn't assign a van for more than two hours. It often takes 2-3 hours to get to a place where you can get in less than 1 hour if you take a taxi. If you are not happy with paying the taxi fare, find a couple of other passengers to share a ride and go for a taxi, UBER or another cab company, then you will get a better service and save a lot of time at the same amount of money.
Not Exactly Super
I used this service from JFK to Manhatten on November 4th 2013. This trip took two and half hours. And I was only the third person to be dropped off, there were another seven people to be dropped off after me. Pity those people, they probably did not get to their hotels until midnight.
The bus left the airport at 17.30 so granted there was considerable traffic, however the main problem was that each bus passenger's hotel were located all over Manhatten, from upper east side to upper west side to midtown etc. Can the company not group passengers together in the one bus who are all staying in hotels at upper west side for example? The driver was clearly annoyed about this as well, he was on the phone for most of the trip to another driver complaining about all the drop-offs he had to do and how long it would take him.
Would not use this service again, nor would I recommend it. The only thing super about SuperShuttle is that it is super slow.

Shuttle Bus To Manhatten From The Airport
We traveled in September 2013, and utilised the shared van service operated by Super Shuttle on four seperate occasions. We opted for this service as we wanted an easy solution to transfer from the airport to Manhatten and back. Our experiences were varied and are detailed as follows:
1. JFK Airport to Hotel. Arrived at 1330 on a Wednesday. Waited forty minutes for van to arrive. Van cramped for room with full load of ten passengers. We were third drop off, took one and a half hours to get to hotel door. At least we were dropped off at the front door, the first passenger was dropped off at the nearest intersection and had to find their own way to hotel.Traffic bad but length of travel is down to luck of the draw.
2. Hotel to La Guardia.Picked up at time stated, journey to airport pleasant, and arrived before time.
3. la Guardia to Hotel. waited over an hour for van to arrive, and because he didnt have the right licence displayed, was nearly left at airport for further wait!!! Took over an hour and a half to reach hotel as we were last drop off. Luck of draw again, though there does not seem to be much strategy to route. Enter through midtown tunnel. travel up to Central Park to go back downtown!!!!
4. Hotel to JFK. Van arrive at alloted time, 1645hrs for 1815 check in. Arrived at airport at 1915hrs, two and a half hours later!!!
Generally good service, but the waiting is frustrating. It seems as though you are punished for them waiting to fill a van for best profit. This should be mentioned at time of booking as the lack of information increases customer disatisfaction. I would use them again only if I was unsure where I was going or had a lot of bags. Tip from me would be to use the subway instead. Cheap option, easy to use and probably a lot quicker.

Service Sucks
The worst ever. Never ever again will I take this. I waited almost 2hrs. Then the driver stop to give advice on how to become a driver for company. Then the bus cut off.
I'm very sorry to read about the long wait and operator's conduct. Have you submitted feedback to our customer care team? If not, please consider doing so via our website or phone.
Broke My Baggage
The driver was rude and it seemed like he was in a rush. He took my baggage and broke the handle. Without even apologizing, he told me that it wasn't his fault and that I shouldn't have packed so much stuff. How is that his business in first place? I would never use this service again. Just horrible
Driver Texting While Driving
I took this service to try it out since I have used go shuttle before. The trip was from Newark to Manhattan. Select the airport at 1 and the driver texted almost all the trip. They made a mistake with some bags and had to go around in circles. When I asked the driver said I could take a cab if I was not happy. By 3:30 I was still stuck with this terrible driver. Never again!
Bad Service
We booked a roundtrip EWR / Waldorf Astoria, 301 Park Ave NY for March 25, 2013 4:14pm and return on March 29, 2013 12:00-12:15 PM. EWR-Waldorf was no problem but picking at the Waldorf up was a big problem. We start wating at 11:45 am at the exit Park Ave and warned the porter at Lexington Ave. This porter should give us a warning if the shuttle should arrive over there.
At 12:30 pm still no shuttle on both sides showed up. So we went to the Concierge of the Waldorf and he called the SuperShuttle desk and got a answer the shuttle was on time at Lexington ave and the shuttle drove on because there was nobody. They could pick us up again the this would cost $20.
In the Netherlands you get a sincere apology and a bouquet of flowers.

Dreadful Service
Just got back from NYC - now appreciate its been a very difficult time for everyone. We decided to call Super Shuttle morning we were leaving to check they were still able to pick us up given the problems of Sandy. The company had our mobile number, hotel we were staying in and e-mail addressVery unhelpful customer rep - told us she didn't have a clue and was unable to help. Needless to say come 4pm no sign of taxi - hotel called them and was told they weren't coming. Five minutes later I had an email to say they had deducted full money ($265) from our account. Left us in a bit of a hole but a good old NYC yellow cab came to the rescue. Warning they will charge you, won't collect you and won't let you know they're not coming either - even if you give them 7 hours notice and speak to them directly.
Stay Away Unless You Are Felling Lucky
Showed up 30 minutes late. It took about 2 1/2 hours before I hit my destination in Midtown. I think there were nine people on it to start with six stops all over the city. I was stop four and the first three to be let off were in all different sections of the city. The remaining two were swearing when I got off because they were so late. The lucky passenger was the one who was fortunate enough to get off first. I WOULD NEVER DO THIS AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT. Take a bus to Grand Central or Port Authority. The odds are you will be in a better mood when you arrive
