Kl Has Lost Its Charm!
Recently as disabled travellers we spent 5 days in KL. Ten or so years ago it was fantastic, but in 2018 it's just another city. Expensive compared to Johor, Malacca which are much better Malaysian destinations.
Disabled travellers should be aware that Malaysia as a whole is NOT disability friendly as infrastructure is poor by western standards.
If you use mobility strollers or have trouble walking Malaysia is currently not a destination for you. For example crossings on roads do not taper the footpath, so it can be like jumping off a cliff to cross the crossing.
The people 'genuine' Muslims are friendly and helpful. Be aware to respect the local ways and religion. Like all places there are great and bad people. We felt comfortable walking around, wear backpacks on your front or a sidebag for your devices, passport, money.
The zoo is a ripoff as Westerners get stung a premium entry fee to see sad animals in a run down environment.
The national museum is worth visiting and disabled friendly.
Bring your unlocked smartphone so you can get a Malaysian sim card for grab taxis (grab took over uber in this region). You will only need your passport for getting a cheap sim plan. Standard taxis are a ripoff and legally mandated meters are rarely used.
Shopping is expensive and if you are a shopoholic Johor (next to Singapore) is way better than KL.
Really helpful it helped me finding the best destination for my upcoming trip. I was very confused in relation with the destination so this blog or review turn out be a source of information for me .

Fascinating
This would be my 3rd travel to Malaysia. I find Kuala Lumpur fascinating. I like the places I visited . I also like the food. I really enjoy going around
because the people are warm and friendly just like Filipinos. I find it also
safe to go around Kuala Lumpur.
