Kefalonia

When our cruise ship made a stop in Rome we decided to make the most of it with our knowledgeable guides. This was an amazing experience with highlights of our extensive tour being the Piazza di Spagna, Capitoline Hill, St. Peter’s Square, Trevi Fountain among others. We were sceptical about how much fun we could get but this turned out to be one of the best shore excursions from Rome. The experience is indelible in our minds and my wife swears we have to do it again. Thanks to the guys I dealt with for your passion, enthusiasm and patience.

We have just returned (May 2014) FROM SKALA,KEFALONIA,travelling with a package from Thomas Cook.

All was super,just be aware if you stay in the Zephyros Hotel, it is up a very steep and long road to town,so need a car hire locally (all excellent and reasonable) or taxi back(5E) from the many excellent restaurants there,unless you are extremely fit!!!Lots of good shops and supermarkets, but a quiet,small town,so very little night life,mostly bars and people watching!

Hotel clean,friendly,bar with snacks open till late,with a lovely pool,very quiet too.

Beach is beautiful, and if you wish for a trip out,use locals as Thomas Cook charges are too high!!
