La Foret Chalet in Plagne 1800

My family (2 adults and 3 children aged 10, 11 & 13) have just returned from a brilliant week at La Foret Chalet in Plagne 1800. We booked late and cheap, but were rewarded by a late snow season and wonderful hosts.

We have stayed at a select chalet before, but the food cooked by the ladies we had her was better than any we;ve experienced before. The chalet is basic, but clean and has a wonderful balcony and view over Plagne 1800. There is a 10 minute walk to the ski lift, but you can arrange to leave your skis and boots at the ski hire shop near the slopes - well worth the cost (30-50 euros).

Our Ski-World rep,  was friendly and knowledgable and again made our week run smoothly and pleasantly. The other people in the accommodation were also lovely - it was great to mix with lots of different, interesting people (who even put up with our occasionally noisy children!).

I would totally recommend this chalet to any one seeking a good value ski holiday, either families or large groups of friends. The region is vast (covering areas over to Les Arc) and perfect for ski-ers at every level.
