I am just back from a week at one of Baglioro di Sicilia's villas (Pergola).

The villa was clean, it was better in real life than the pictures represented on the website.

The pool was wonderful and cleaned a few times during the week.

I also hired a car form the local company and it was fine. Sure it is not the newest but it is fine if you are looking for something to run around to the beach and back. The aircon worked and it was in acceptable condition. If you want something newer then pay more at the airport.

Based on the week I just had I would go back to one of their villas again and recommend them.

I stayed at one of these villas and have to say we were disgusted when we arrived. The villa bore no relation to the photos. The furniture was damaged and broken. The shower was filthy, as was the bathroom as a whole, the fridge, the barbecue, all kitchen utensils, crockery etc needed washing, in fact everywhere was dirty. The bedding clearly hadn't been replaced in years and years. There were plugs hanging off the wall. The 'childs bedroom' had no light or plug for a light. There were plugs hanging off the wall. There were holes in the mosquito nets. The curtains were torn. And to top it all the owner of Bagliori di Sicilia who manages the villas was really rude and unhelpful and simply went incommunicado if there was a problem. We also arranged car hire through him, when we arrived we were driven to a shady backstreet of Castelemarre and handed over a damaged, not very new car, and a single sheet of paper, all in italian, that was the only documentation. Who knows what would have happened if we had had an accident or the car had been damaged, who knows how we would have proved we were renting the car if we had been stopped, all we had was a mobile number and a first name. The only reason we booked through this company was because they had good reviews on tripadvisor. All i can think is these reviews were fake.
