Best Christmas Ever !

We are just back from locholly after spending a week there over Christmas

We've used this company every year for about nine years now the homes are second to none with the added luxury of a hot tub and sauna

The house is very well fitted out with all mod cons as the saying goes

and every day the hot tub man arrives to test the water and add the chemicals if needed ,even on Christmas morning !!

The location is stunning with one of the nicest beaches I've ever seen only 10 minutes away

Would happily recommend for a relaxing break

Our Second Fantastic Stay At Locholly Lodge

My partner our dog and I stayed at Locholly lodge from the 13th March for 3 nights for the 2nd time. Last year the weather was terrible, however this year we could not believe our luck! The sun was out the whole time! We were able to sit out on the decking with a glass of wine in t-shirts to take in the view. We loved our stay last year but it was even better due to the weather as we could see right across the hills as the sky was clear and blue. We went for a walk along the beach close by which was beautiful with stunning views. We will be back to venture further next year as we were advised there are lovely walks which we have yet to explore. We stayed in the house to eat, however next year plan to take a trip to the local pub! There was one thing I would like to let you no about and that was that we noticed quite a lot of cobwebs around the house. It didn't bother us at all but some people may be picky! My boyfriend got talking to the handyman who was lovely and fixed the heating when we switched it off by mistake!! He was very keen to make sure that we were happy. Of course we made the most of the hot tub and sauna, just amazing. We can't wait to go back and are planning staying for longer next year. It is the perfect place to escape and relax. Thank you.

Unrivalled Luxury In A Stunning Location

What an amazing week at Locholly Lodge with my husband and our four month old baby. The property oozes luxury- from the piping hot outdoor spa tub to the floor to ceiling views over the summer isles. On arrival the property was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. Lovely fresh bedding, super soft towels and a sound system to die for. Sky movies included was a brilliant touch- it was almost a pity to leave the place to explore the area. We did eventually tear ourselves away from the views though to explore the local walks, eat at the pub and cook our breakfast on the beach. To top off the week on our last day a magnificent stag appeared in the field at the bottom of the house. Cant recommend this property enough for anyone looking for some luxury in the beautiful Scottish Highlands.

Outstanding

We had an amazing stay at Stac Polly ( identical to Locally Lodge) this Easter.

The accommodation is most definitely 5 star as are the views.

We took our 2 daughters plus partner and friend and our son and his friend.

The 4 teenagers had an absolute ball - fishing, in the sauna, the hot- tub and watching the films.

My husband and the dog joined in while I sat in the lounge reading and admiring the ever changing views.

A perfect family getaway - priceless!

3 Days Of Total Peace And Relaxation!

After a particularly hectic time over the last 18 months we choose Windyhill for a short break. Despite being remote there is a local pub within walking distance and also nearby the Summer Isles hotel plus a local shop with all the basics.

If you want to explore by car there are drives in any direction with spectacular scenery and many walks or climbs, perhaps the best well known is nearby Stac Pollaidh.

We chose to do very little, we walked our dogs every day on one of the numerous beaches, enjoyed the hot tub and spent the rest of the time sitting in the window seats relaxing and looking out over the stunning sea views. It is a long time since either of us enjoyed a few days with no responsibilites and Windyhill is very condusive to relaxation.

The house itself was spotlessly clean and spacious as well as having a very homely feel. It was great to have an enclosed garden for our dogs.

We felt that we had been away much longer than 3 nights and hope to revisit soon.

What A Gem Of A Property, Can't Wait To Come Back!!!

Had an absolutely wonderful week - the weather wasn't the best at times, but it didn't matter because Windyhill was so relaxing!

Whether you are lying on the sofa with a roaring fire in the woodburning stove, or sitting with a cuppa admiring the spectacular views towards the Summer Isles and the Atlantic, it really is the place to get away from it all.

We stayed for a week with our ten-month-old daughter, and it had absolutely everything we needed from high chair to stair gate, and we're sure other families would enjoy staying with good-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rugged coastline of Achiltibuie is well worth exploring, as well as some of the sights slightly further afield in Assynt and Wester Ross.

The highlight has to be the hot-tub - an absolute must for all visitors! Even in the winter, it's simply amazing watching the stars above you.

Our biggest compliment - we simply had to book again for next year the day we arrived home from holiday! Thanks for a fantastic week, and we are really looking forward to next year already :)

Great Place To Stay

This is an amazing place to get away from it all in comfort. The house is well equipped and has great views that change with the weather. Would love to come back some day and maybe use the hot tub next time!

Just The Perfect Escape

We arrived world weary looking for a chill out week and Windy Hill surpassed our expectations. From the moment we walked up the stairs and saw the view from the window we knew we could switch off completely. The house was immaculate and everything we needed was catered for. The weather the first 3 days was wonderful and we ventured out to the pub, the shop, and spent a wonderful hour having coffee and chatting to the elderly lady in the craft shop. We went to the beach everyday to walk the dog and most days were joined by the sheep dog from the local farm. It was a pleasure returning to the house and hot tub each day. The weather turned on the 4th day and we drove "the wee mad road" to Lochiver. Fabulous lunch in the Lochinver Larder before heading home to a lovely warm house with a good book and nice bottle of wine watching the waves crash against the shore.

We would recommend this house to anyone without hesitation. We will most definitely be back.

Fantastic House

Had a wonderful week. Fantastic house, huge, spacious very hi tech. Comfortable rooms. Views to die for and we where also very lucky with the weather. Only complaint is that we did not stay long enough. Not one for writing reviews and rarely find a property that delivers in every respect. This is the best holiday rental we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of properties :)

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Stac Polly, The Attention To Detail And Views Were Fab

8-15 July 2013

Our friends who came for just 2 days described it as the house from heaven. The attention to detail, the views and the quality were fabulous. Our most used word all week was "wow" - and even after a week the view from the top of the stairs never failed to take our breath away.

The lady at Achiltibuie stores was really helpful and the fresh fish we purchased from there was the best we have ever had. Also the venison. We picked mussels off the beach by the youth hostel, cooked and ate them - they were great. We took trip round Summer Isles - very enjoyable. We left reluctantly but will be back. A real gem of a find.
