Boracay - Mabuhay Beach House

Mabuhay Beach House Boracay.

We all loved Boracay Island and hope to visit again.

However the accommodation did not live up to our expectations and have to say we were very disappointed in it.

We had to buy the following items..

Bin bags

Dishwashing detergent

Washing up cloth ( there was one in the kitchen but looked like it had been there for weeks )

Our own toilet paper. (we were offered toilet paper a few days into our holiday but we had already bought a supply )

And there were no t-towels

Our towels were only changed once while we were there.

And our bed linen was never changed.

(As per the information we were given "The linens and towels for all villas changed at the maximum every three (3)

days") this did not happen. Our towel were changed once.

The above we could over look and get passed it, but the following issue we were absolutely disgusted with.

4 days into our 7 day holiday we were advised a bit of work is to be done on the roof.

It was not just a bit of work, it was major work, that was still going on the day we left.

They replaced the whole roof top ( the hay portion of it )

So our quiet peaceful holiday was over!!!!!

We had booked this holiday in October in anticipation of a relaxing quiet holiday. We did not expect to have to put up with this.

We should of been notified that work was going to be done during our stay prior to our arrival and given the option to change properties.

To be honest if we knew work was going to be done during our stay we would never have booked this house.

We were looking at hotels to start off with but thought that a holiday house would be more suitable as we have a baby even though it was a lot more expensive. We thought it would be worth spending more money to have guarantee quiet for our baby. Not only were we not able to use the house during the day because off all the noise our baby wasn't able to have his naps indoors. We were unable to use the balcony, again due to the noise and the dust and small fibers covered the balcony and our clothes that we put out to dry.

Our last 2 morning we were woken up around 6.30am by the work men banging on the roof..... this is not what you expect from a island holiday.

I strongly do not recommend this property to anyone there are a lot of lovely properties on White beach .......
