Cebu Grand Hotel

I booked this hotel through BYOjet.com, an Australian travel company.

It is located in Cebu, one hour's flight by plane from Manila.

I stayed for 7 days.

I pre-arranged with the hotel for a car to pick me up at Cebu airport for 650 pesos as my flight was very late at night. I was met at the baggage claim entrance and immediately taken to the hotel.

The staff were excellent and did everything to please. My room had no window, so the next day they transferred me to room overlooking the mountains at no extra charge.

All rooms had WIFI access which was handy. I ordered a buffet breakfast with my initial booking and it was very nice. I took my own green teabags and the staff gave me a teapot of boiling water each morning.

Tours were arranged for me on request.

The doorman flagged me down taxis every morning.

My only dislike was the aircon. They were the older models and very noisy. I found that I had to turn them off at bedtime as I'm a light sleeper.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.
