We Spent A Week Here In September/october 2008 And

We spent a week here in September/October 2008 and apart from the breakfast we couldn't really fault the hotel. It is small and friendly, family run by parents and their son who is the manager. We found them all to be very helpful, as were the rest of the staff. This is not a hotel for children or young people, I would say if is mostly suited to couples or a group of friends who are not looking for a riotous time clubbing etc, but for those who prefer a more laid back and relaxing holiday. Our room was in the annexe at the back of the hotel which was not very nice really but it is due to be refurbished for the 2009 season, so hopefully there will be a vast improvement. And as we only paid 255 quid each for a week bed and breakfast with flights from the north, we could not complain at all!!!The main part of the hotel has already been refurbished and is very nice in the public areas, although I don't know what the accommodation is like. Some of the rooms in the main hotel have sea views which must have been very nice but they are more than likely at an extra cost. We ate in the hotel several evenings and found the menu to be varied and reasonably priced and the meals were good. The staff were very efficient and some evenings there was also a special 3 course menu at 13 euros which was pointed out to us. The only let down was the breakfast! This was very boring indeed! Every morning there were tinned peaches, toast, marmalade, jam, fruit juice (very watery!), tea, coffee, two or three cereals and cake. If you paid extra you could have boiled eggs and other items, but we didn't bother. It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit or even a change in the tinned variety! The hotel was full of Brits, some of whom were obviously there only for the drinking and telly, oh and their English breakfast and fish and chips for lunch!!!!!!! Others were more discerning and were in Corfu to experience the Greek culture rather than wanting to make themselves at home in the bars all day! But each to his own! The hotel is located on the seafront with views across to Albania, but the beach is shingle in this part and you have to walk about 100 m either direction to find sand for sunbathing etc.The pool area is at the rear of the hotel and quite small, but there is a bar where you can buy drinks and there were lots of sunbeds. Roda is level and ideal for anyone with walking difficulties and the hotel is only a few minutes level walk from the main part of the town, where you can find shops, restaurants and bars. We would particularly recommend the Roda Park restaurant for typical Greek atmosphere and food, the service is slow but that is because they are usually very busy, but the food is excellent! We hired a car as to spend a full week in Roda would have been too much, but do shop around for the best prices. Alternatively there are excursions to various places, but again shop around. There were a lot of mosquitoes around but having visited Greek Islands before we knew to expect this. The solution is to spray yourself with plenty of mozzy repellant and invest in a plug in for your room at night. If you can't get one of these in the UK there are plenty available in Roda, for around a fiver you get the plug and the tablets to put in it. In line with most continental hotels there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, so if you want a cuppa take a travel kettle. Greek plumbing is never good at the best of times and the Coral was no exception. The hot water is solar powered and some days the shower was only lukewarm around early evening when everyone was getting ready for evenings out. The Coral did not have much entertainment on when we were there as it was the last week of the season, but they did have the Greek night which was good fun. I understand this is a weekly event and there is other nightly entertainment throughout the main season. If you want a quiet, relaxing evening there is a lounge area just off the main bar where we made many friends who were not interested (like us) in drinking themselves silly and watching football on the big screen! There is also a book exchange and internet access (2 euros for 30 minutes). We would certainly recommend the Roda, we found everyone to be very nice and only too willing to help with any minor problems we encountered.

Hotel Manager This Man Is So Very Rude And A

Hotel Manager

This man is so very rude and aggressive, throughout our holiday he was horrible to us.

Hotel Check Out

We had to check out at 12:00 noon and our flight was 04:00am the next day, when we asked about paying for a shower or to have the room for a later check out the hotel manager was so rude and told us that our contract ended at 12.

I would never stay at this hotel again, the hotel itself was nice and clean (although breakfast was horrible and cold dry bit of toast) there was no basic TV, iron and early in the morning the showers was cold. The hotel manager ruined it for us.

I am just warning you, check these reviews before you book with the tour operator I would recommend somewhere else. Corfu and Roda is a beautiful island and there are so many lovely hotels why stay in one with so many bad problems.

Betty And I Went With Friends To The Coral Hotel,

Betty and I went with friends to the Coral hotel, Roda. The rooms were spotless, with sheets and towels changed every two days including Sundays. The bathroom was as good as any British hotel and there was a plentiful supply of hot water. Air conditioning was an extra 50 Euros for 2 weeks and worth every penny. Coral is situated near to all restaurants in Roda and is about a ten minute walk to sandy beaches. Corfu is very hilly and the walks to the beaches are quite hilly. Once on the beach there are beach tavernas for snacks or a sit down lunch. We all had a fab holiday and would definitely return to Coral Hotel if/when we next holiday in Corfu. Claire July 2005

This Was The Best Holiday I Have Had In A Very Lon

This was the best holiday I have had in a very long time. Everything about it was amazing. I had no issues with the staff or the Hotel Coral itself. The food was fine even for me who is one of the fussiest eaters going. The bar was fine I had no problems getting drinks or getting served. I could always get a sun lounger and did not have to get up at the crack of dawn.

I will be going back providing I can get booked and would recommend anyone else to do so.

I Stayed In The Coral Hotel In Roda This July (200

I stayed in the Coral Hotel in Roda this July (2005) and had a fantastic holiday. It is a very friendly, beautifully clean hotel with helpful staff and is in a great setting - nice residential area - beautiful terrace to sit and read and a lovely pool with good bar meals. Breakfast is also good value. The hotel is near Roda old town is not far on the local bus - well worth a visit. I know this sounds like a brochure - but was really amazing! Go diving at Palaiokastritsa too. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back.

The Hotel Coral Staff Made It Absolutely First Cla

The Hotel Coral staff made it absolutely first class. Very efficient, but so friendly and pleasant, what a great team. Our two girls aged 9 and 11 were made such a great fuss of, but equally, too tired parents, were well looked after too. We stayed in room 25 (a great view). Lovely weather of course too.

Lovely Resort And Great Friendly Staff. Hotel Cora

Lovely resort and great friendly staff. Hotel Coral rooms are very tidy, they do a barbecue once a week and a Greek night which is lovely, the swimming pool is amazing, only problem is don't book any tours with the reps.

Go to Roda town and get any tour for at least half the price that the reps would charge you. I would definitely go back but wouldn't take kids as it is very restricted what kids can do, the staff where very friendly to our children and made it as fun as they could.

Well done!!

My Husband And I Stayed Here At The Hotel Coral Fo

My husband and I stayed here at the Hotel Coral for 7 nights. It's a prime location in North Corfu to everyplace. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel hosts a buffet breakfast room a nice swimming pool and a restaurant. This place is ideal if your checking out the sights in Corfu as a central location. It's not a luxurious hotel nor does it claim to be but is very clean and comfortable at extremely reasonable rates for a Greek Island and the hospitality was tremendous. Well recommended.
