Stayed Here For A Week End Of July 2010...........

Stayed here for a week end of July 2010............

Do not book a studio for more than 2 people and expect them to be small, dirty and un-cared for. Our room had dirty razor ends, stained walls and sheets. Staff are friendly enough but the rooms really let the place down. Grounds and pool nice but thats about it!

Would not return!

We Stayed At The "evripides Vilage" Apartments Fro

we stayed at the "evripides vilage" apartments from 30/6/2010..10/7/2010,

i would never ever recomend this to anyone...its totll ruined our experience of greece,

the apartment was filthy,on arrival the bathroom was dirty, the toillet soiled to say the least, shower head broken and every time you used the shower it flooded!

no hangers in wardrobe..but plenty of ants!

very very basic, cutlery dirty, not even a kettle, the maid was aout 15yrs old and we had things stolen..when reported the manager wasnt intrested at all basicaly implying that we were making things up!

the staff esp the bar man (the son of the manager) was exstreamly rude and off hand with us, i dont think they knew what manners were!

the location was a little out of it as it took us a good 45 mins to walk to the nearest town of kardemenia, as taxi"s got expensiveafter a while, there isnt a shop in the hotel as stated on there website so the town is crucial!

the grounds were scatterd with litter, doors to apartments were broken and often replaced after being kicked in by the "young" english hoolagans, was more like a 18-30"s holiday infact more like a zoo....gave the english a very bad name!!

i would never ever recomend this place to anyone unless you want a holiday from hell, this may sound extream but this place had ruined our holiday,

Second Year At The Evripides Hotel. The Welcome Yo

second year at the evripides hotel. the welcome you receive is fantastic. rooms are basic but very clean and tidy. pool area clean and tidy. bar offers competitively priced drinks and food. on occasions there are barbeque nights and pool is kept open for night swimming. at £12 euro's you'd be a fool to miss. the resort is idelly situated enough distance from the busy lively town centre to enjoy a relaxing holiday but for the more adventurous like me a short bus ride or shared taxi to the bustling nightlife. beautiful restaurants avli and yianni's offer authentic greek cuisine at great prices. try chef's mezzi for an amazing taste bud experience. also vegetarian option on this available. all in all a most pleasurable experience again at the evripides hotel try it yourself then write a review similar to this i'm sure you will

My Family Had A Lovely Time At Evrpides Village, W

My family had a lovely time at Evrpides Village, we stayed for two weeks and were extremely happy with our self catering studio which had great bathroom. The room was clean and comfortable. We especially loved the pool area and were very happy with the staff. We could not have had a better holiday. The beach is just a short walk away and it is the perfect distance from the party atmosphere which is only a 5 min taxi ride away. We are planning to go back next year.

When We Arrived I Was Apprehensive As It First See

When we arrived I was apprehensive as it first seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Once you've orientated yourself though, you'll be grateful not to be staying in the centre, or in the huge complex further up the road. We stayed for a week.

As a couple, we had enough cutlery and crockery, four of each. The fride worked very well, nothing was broken. It would have been nice to have a kettle and toaster but I think it's the lack of space on the counter that hasn't allowed for these extra items. The kitchen area has two sofas/beds that I guess are used for couples with children. There is also a table for if you want to eat inside. We ate inside a fair bit as it gets very windy sometimes in the evening.

The bathroom was clean, toilet in good working order, definitely enough space for all cosmetics and toiletries.

The bedroom was nice and spacious. There was a dressing table with little stools, a hardryer, an extra light on top for doing make-up... No complaints there. The balcony was just off the bedroom. The sliding door worked well and we were able to lock it without any problems.

The cupboard also had plenty of space for clothes, with shelves, drawers, and plenty of hanging space. They also provide hangers.

There was a notice in the apartment to let us know that you need to buy your own toilet paper.

There was a roll in the bathroom on arrival. All cleaning products, i.e. washing up liquid and sponges, will need to be purchased as well.

We were only provided with sheets to be used as covers when sleeping (there was also a sheet on the bed). This was fine during our stay but some may find it a little chilly. The bins were changed and the apartment cleaned at least every second day, the towels and sheets were changed at least once during our stay (though we were in on one occassion when the lady came to clean so they may have been changed again if not for this). We also left valuables in drawers and loose change lying on the table and nothing was ever taken.

We didn't need aircon and we didn't get charged for any extras. We paid 25 euro to keep our room for another day as our pickup was at 1am the following morning. This fee usually covers you until 7pm according to the notice in the apartment, but they didn't charge any extra for the additional hours.

We went to a few placesn in Kardamena to eat out. One was Avli, which is lovely and highly recommended. There was another on the beachfront which was lovely, next to Pegasus bar. We only had one bad meal. I stronly advise you not to order any meat unless you like it very well done. It's 1.6 euros each way on the bus if you don't want to splash out on a taxi. They were always on time.

We went to a few bars where we couldn't taste the alcohol in the drinks we ordered. This also happened once at the pool bar and in all cases the alcohol in question was vodka. Maybe they water it down?

Mythos is the local beer and only 2.5 euros in most places. Other beers such as Amstel are a bit more, usually 4 euros. The cocktails are around 3.5 euros, and Pegasus is the best place to have one or two. More than that and you'll walk away very light headed :)

We shopped at Louis Supermarket a few times during our stay. It is a little pricey but if you buy local produce you'll save a bit. Try the freshly prepared olives in the deli section, they're divine! The wine is about 7 euros for a decent bottle, same as here. The cigarettes are obviously much cheaper though, only 3 euro for a pack of 20.

The beach is a bit pebbly, the strip in front of the apartment isn't very clean but if you walk a bit further down in the opposite direction of town you'll find a nice strecth of beach.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
