The Eleni & Maria Studios Are Modern And Reasonabl

The Eleni & Maria Studios are modern and reasonably clean, situated at the top of a steep hill down to the beach and Parga itself, with stunning sea views from most rooms. It's an easy 20 minutes walk down, but a strenuous 30 minute hike back. The taxi ride though is only 4 Euros, and well worth it! Parga is beautiful and every taverna we tried was superb, particularly Bacchos on the harbour.

Beware they insist (in a brusque manner) on hard cash for the air con and safe before you get in the room ( I parted with 230 Euros for my 2 rooms before putting my case down!Though I believe Olympic have issued her with a written warning. They also threatened me and insisted on 20 Euros for a faulty fitting which fell off (screw loose , in the fitting, but as I had no tool kit I could not do the 30 second repair)and refused my excplanation, insisting we had deliberately smashed it off the wall. When I refused to pay she threatened to report me and said no repairs would be made until we had left in 2 weeks time and she would be on the look-out for any other damage to report me for. The bar is very basic and hardly ever open.Kitchen facilities are very basic with control dials missing any numbers, so you have to guess if the electric rings are on, and at what setting, still a 45 minute boiled egg is ok when you are sun-bathing!

The pools are fine, though we didn't see them cleaned as often as I would have liked, and there are enough loungers and some parasols. Even better is to walk over the road (30 secs) to the brand new Alea Resort, which welcomes non-residents, and has a brilliant pool, superb bar and very attentive staff. We spent most of our time here.

Most people will have a great time in Parga, just don't expect politeness or customer service from the Studio staff, have cash ready on arrival, then head over the road.

Clean And Modern, Excellent Swimming Pools. Q

Clean and modern, excellent swimming pools.

Quite a walk to Parga quay, make sure you do some stretching exercises before attempting the steps.

Be sure to take a left out of appartments to visit the village of Anthusa 15 mins walk up the hill, there are some excellent restaurants and bars, we especially liked the Neon bar, you can find this when you reach the village and turn left, it has a beautifull tranquil garden, and you will get a brilliant freindly reception from the owners, good value and he also has rooms to rent at a good rate

Parga Is A Fantastic Resort And I Would Recommend

Parga is a fantastic resort and I would recommend Eleni and Maria studios if you don't mind walking - but the views are definately worth it!

The food in Parga is incredible, I would highly reccommend Rudis (on the harbour), Nafsika (left hand side of harbour) and Bacchas (right hand side of harbour). I would not recommend Castello (over-rated and tasteless) or Sakis.

The Green Bakery (parga town) does the most fantastic breakfast in the whole of Parga. Highly recommended.

This Was Our Second Time In Parga And Eleni And Ma

This was our second time in Parga and Eleni and Maria Apartments. We came back simply beause the place is amazing!! The town is situated in front of the mountains with a beautiful centre and habour. Restaurants are in abundance. I would highly recommend Castello which is situated in the Old Town next to the Hotel Acropol. The food, ambience and service is amazing and it really feels like you are in a "posh" London restaurant. The prices are fair but do book as it is always full. Up the road over looking Valtos beach is Filomila, a great Italian that also does Greek specialities. Again, the food here is excellent and overlooking the bay at night is an amazing experience. Greek people are friendly but Pargains are in my view the friendliest. A trip to Velkios Restaurant at Valtos was a prime example. On finding we didn't have enough money for lunch we were told we could pay the next day!

The Eleni and Maria apartments are situated on the road to Anthoussa and are immaculate. The rooms are comfortable and the owners brilliant always there if you have a problems but never intrusive.

The train that goes to Anthoussa from the town beach is well worth the 7 euros. It takes you up the beautiful mountain roads past all the olive groves to Ali Pasha's castle where on a clear day you can see Corfu, Antipaxos and Paxos.

All in all I would recommend Parga to everyone but a selfish part of me wants to keep it for myself! Go and I am sure you will never want to come back!!
