The Quality Hotel Is Situated On Cardiff Lane At S
The Quality Hotel is situated on Cardiff Lane at Sir John Roger sons Quay, making it just less than 10 minutes walk from both Dublin Connelly train station and Central bus station. I stayed here for just one night on Friday 9th June for a Guns 'n' Roses concert at the RDS, and I would highly recommend it to all. The hotel was a four star, and being relatively new, it was in a superb state.
The style was clean lines and modern with a heavy mix of luxury, and this was echoed in the 22ft swimming pool, gym and restaurant. It happened to be the start of the world cup 2006, and to celebrate there was free food in the bar. However, not being football fans, my friend and I declined.
The room itself was great, with silent air conditioning, Internet connection and all other mod cons as standard in every room. The bed was very comfortable, and the whole room was clean and aesthetically pleasing. My friend, having arrived earlier, did enjoy a full back massage in the room, and the prices were slightly cheaper than I would pay at home.
Now the best parts of the hotel... It was within walking distance from the RDS (about 20 minutes) and also The Point, as I was told after the Robbie gig.
The cost was just €109 per night per room, which by the standard of the hotel, was excellent (about £30 each).
The breakfast was superb with a fantastic selection, from a full fry to fruit salad; from cereal and cereal bars, right through to a continental (ham, cheese and bread). There was nothing that was not catered for.
The very best feature of this hotel is that, not only was bar open until two plus, but check out was 12pm.
Overall, it is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a few 5 star hotels in my time.
