Just Come Back From A Cruise And Stay And Stayed I
JUST COME BACK FROM A CRUISE AND STAY AND STAYED IN THE EL TOPE HOTEL 11/12/09 TO 18 /12/09. THE HOTEL WAS GREAT THE ROOMS WERE LOVELY AND WITH A GREAT SEA VIEW ROOM 513. THE FOOD WAS EXELLENT WITH A GREAT CHOICE OF FOOD. STAFF WERE REALLY HELPFUL AND HOTEL VERY GRAND AND VERY CLEAN. THE DOWN SIDE IS THE FACT THATS ITS ON A HILL BUT THEY SUPPLY TRANSPORT TO AND FROM THE HOTEL TO THE TOWN LEAVES 10 AM AND COMES BACK 1.00PM FROM THE HOTEL ATLANTIS THEN LEAVES AT 1 15 PM BACK AT 5 30PM ?. I WOULD DEFINATELY GO BACK TO THE EL TOPE AND HIGHLY RECOMEND IT . BUT BEWARE OF THE ROOMS DOWN STAIRS NO MUCH OF A VIEW AND WAS TOLD IT WAS LIKE A RABBITS WARREN , IF YOU GET ONE ASK TO CHANGE ENJOY YOUR STAY IF I CAN HELP WITH ANY OUESTIONS PLEASE EMAIL ME melody.jen@btinternet.com JEN

Great hotel. The staff are superb. The food was great and the room with view over the town just right. What a lovely town Puerto de La Cruise is. All the shopping you could want with lovely seafront. Plenty of restaurants if you need them catering for everyone.
There are steps back up to the hotel, give them a try, they aren't too bad. The rep was not very helpful. If you want her you have to go to the hotel next door and at very odd times when you should be out enjoying yourselves. Luckily we didn't need her.
This time of year in northern Tenerife is perfect. 70 to 80 deg every day, no rain. We will be back New year 2010

The hotel was very Grand looking, I could imagine it was a business 15 years ago, may need a little refurbishment. Food was good. Entertainment OK. It was so quiet round the pool that you could hear the pages of your book turn.

Puerto De La Criz Is Great, And Much Nicer Than Th
Puerto De La Criz is great, and much nicer than the south of the island, so lush and green and has a lot more character to it. I've read some rather negative reports about the Gran Hotel El Tope and the entertainment. All I can say is that everyone we spoke with during our stay had nothing but praise for the hotel, its staff and all the entertainers. We hope to go there again.
