Estepona, Residence Albayt Country Club

Booked this resort with Lowcost Holidays. Great English speaking and helpful reception and apartment was bigger than expected. Lots of space, appliances and furniture and five balcony terraces with sea views from some. Plenty swimming pools to choose from. We didn't use the spa or resturant so can't comment but prices seemed high. You do need a car to get to the beach and shops, but there are some great beaches to discover. Only thirty minutes to Gibraltar and five minutes to Estepona which is a relatively quiet resort with a good beach. Enjoyed trips to Ronda and caves at La Pileta ( that is a trek in the car, but worthwhile). We use self catering most of the time as brilliant kitchen/dishwasher etc but the resturants are in the marina in Manliva 5 mins away - a little expensive at current exchange rates - Aldi is two minutes one direction and Lidl two minutes the other way, for cheap drinks etc. If travelling around no real need to use toll road as other road is nearly as quick. Really recomend a trip to Gib to see monkeys and have a Sunday Roast !
