The rooms are very very dated and in need of a full refit. Bedroom window was dirty with cobwebs * carpet was dirty* and the electric kettle (that was old and leaking) and TV both had out of date pat test stickers* . I took my little dog who is a very clean animal that only sleeps in his own basket. However, the owners have two small dogs that were allowed to lay on the bar furniture where customers would sit. To add insult to injury the owner later told me that both dogs were also in season !!! and still allowed to sit anywhere. The windows in the breakfast room looked as if they had not been cleaned for a long period of time and the furniture was of a 1960 styling. Having said this the breakfast was fair and plentyfull. I am however pleased that I did not see where it was prepared and the state of the kitchen.

At night the bar coolers or pumps made a hell of a noise in the room and sounded just like a hammer drill being used on the room wall. Noise from the bar was crazy loud until after 12.45am on Sunday morning 3rd August. The noise from fast trafic passing on the road was very very loud and It crossed my mind to get up and go home as did a previous customer (as a past report by a previous customer) but by this time I was too tired and later fell asleep. I left the property first thing in the morning without taking the breakfast we had paid for and told the proprietor how upset I was and that we would not return for any money. It all depends on ones standards, if you live in poor conditions you would feel happy with the facilities. At £95 per night the deal is not a good one and in my opinion is way over priced for a road side B&B. Look at all the - reviews not just the good ones.
