Torquay, The Tor Park Hotel

we have just returned from 8 days at the tor park torquay...with shearings,room was a dissapointment as soon as we opened the door,very small for a double room,and bathroom so small they had to fit the wash basin in the bedroom,it got worse,we always check sheets,which were clean,but on checking the mattress,found it dirty and stained on both sides,and the underside had a hole in it.it was badly worn with a hump in the centre,paper peeling off of hotel walls,dirty carpets,ready for a refit or closing.meals were very small portions.would not go there again.

We have just returned from Torquay today, if you stay at tor park the staff are brilliant,they make your holiday,but shearings should be totally ashamed ,of the inside of this hotel, dirty carpets ,dirty window frames ,dirty walls ,yet they are painting the outside,priorities totally wrong, the food I've never seen one potato cut so thin it could feed 4 people and the starter three shrimps and soggy lettuce,,we ate salads mostly if you call it a salad, the eggs at breakfast were so small you could hardly see them and I dessert spoon of beans, would we ever go with shearings again never never ever ,and this was the majority of customers saying the same, we feel sorry for the staff having to work in such conditions,if it was not for them I do not think anyone would stay, I will be contacting the head office officially and asking for some explanation ,and to get a refund,then to top it all they abandon you on the way home after stopping three times already ,to change to feeder coaches that do not turn up for another hour,and the people who operate this say it's normal the last driver had no idea where he was going ,and to top it all someone took the wrong case

Fawlty towers would have been better then this.

hotel was in bad need of repair ie floorboards very loose no air conditioning very scarce on food ie frequently ran out of milk sausages always burnt sheets not very clean cockroaches found in bed it was absolutely disgusting i would not reccommend this hotel to anyone
