Nothing Is Too Much Trouble!
This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in for service. It is located in the village of Ortahisar about 5 kms from the dreadfully busy and frantic scene at Goreme with hoards and hoards of tourist crowds. It is quiet and located with a view of its own fairy castle across the valley. The sunset on the rock was stunning. The hotel has 15 rooms, staff fairly fluent in English and free bottled water to drink. The breakfast is amazing, definitely top rated and the light snack dinner of soup and mezzo is limited but good value at $13 and after a day of hiking it is great for a quick pick me up before sleep enfolds you. The rooms are attractively furnished and are truly "caves" but not dark as they do have windows - ask for 13, 14 or 15 with he picture windows, a grassy terrace and views of the rock. Sleep quality is great and for winter, there is central heat. But it is the staff that make this place truly outstanding. They can arrange everything from a packed lunch to taxis to all the local events and sights. Nothing is too much trouble and the friendliness and courtesy is refreshing.
