Disreputable Practices
I RESERVED TWO MOTEL ROOMS AT THE LAMPLIGHTER MOTEL SOUTH IN SPRINGFIELD, MO FOR THE NIGHT OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2013. I MADE THESE RESERVATIONS AFTER BEING ASSURED BY YOUR SERVICE THAT THE ROOMS WERE FURNISHED WITH RECLINER CHAIRS (ONE PER ROOM). THIS IS NECESSARY BECAUSE MY WIFE REQUIRES ONE TO SLEEP IN. UPON ARRIVAL & CHECK IN I FOUND OUT YOUR SERVICE HAD MISREPRESENTED THIS TO ME. I ARRANGED TO CANCEL THE RESERVATIONS WITH BOTH THE MOTEL CLERK AND THROUGH YOUR RESERVATIONS SERVICE OVER THE TELEPHONE. I WAS TOLD THE RESERVATIONS WERE CANCELLED AND THAT I WOULD ONLY BE CHARGED A $25.00 SERVICE FEE. THIS IS AGAIN A MISREPRESENTATION.
MY CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN CHARGED THE FULL ROOM FEES, DESPITE THE ROOMS NOT BEING USED (HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER MOTEL THAT ACTUALLY HAS RECLINERS TO STAY) AND CANCELLING THE RESERVATIONS AS PRESCRIBED BY THE MOTEL AND YOUR RESERVATION CENTER. SINCE THEN, I HAVE CALLED BOTH THE MOTEL AND YOUR RESERVATIONS CENTER AND BEEN TOLD BY BOTH THAT IT WOULD BE CHECKED INTO AND I WOULD BE CONTACTED IN A TIMELY FASHION CONCERNING RESOLUTION. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED (ANOTHER MISREPRESENTATION)!!!!
