Mayan Dude Ranch, Bandera

Wonderful, rustic dude ranch experience. Very well run. A true family experience. Very well worth the money. Entertainment was fabulous - roping and whip show! Horseback rides were really great. Cool deer, peacocks, wild sheep, armadillo, river for swimming. It was a great dude ranch!

The Mayan Dude Ranch is the most friendliest place on earth. I absolutely loved both my stays there. The family, accommodation, food and not forgetting the horses are all first class. I would definitely recommend this ranch to everyone This is a fantastic place for a complete rest. You can as little and as much as you like. Do not plan to diet while you are there because the food is all home made, absolutely fantastic and plenty of it. The Mayan Ranch are a friendly lot and very accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Wonderful people, gorgeous place, morning pancakes are amazing! I'm going back next year. I couldn't fault a thing, best holiday I've been on.

Very family friendly, great food, friendly staff (family), lots to do - swim in pool, float Modina River, golf, daily horseback rides, minutes from downtown shopping and taverns, did I mention great food. Pretty much all inclusive and worth it. My family goes every year and meet up with about ten other families that go the same week year after year.

This has got to be the best holidays I/we have ever had. We first came here six years ago and was told by family member that we would be back. How true that was. We have made so many friends both from the U.S and U.K. thanks to the Mayan.

So sorry that we did not make it this year but as Arnold Schwarzenegger said I'll be back. Nothing is to much trouble for this family run ranch. If you have young children or teenagers you will not find a better place. Maybe your children have grown up or you have grandchldren give it a go. I'm just a person who loves the most relaxing/fun holiday you could have. Bad points, I'm trying to find some, but the only thing I can say is it's 5000mls away!!! If you want a a really good holiday without any worries try the Mayan.

The ranch is only about 35 mins walk from Bandera (you can usually get a lift if you require ). This is the way life should be.

Excellent all round stay. All inclusive stay with an abundance of good food, drink and service all provided by a close knit friendly and hospitable family, nothing was too much trouble for them. Hope to return soon with family and friends.

Gentle, well-trained horses - with riding at walking pace so you can really make the most of the scenery

A good selection of activities alongside horse riding - fishing, tennis, hayrides and even tubing down the Medina River - also golf nearby!

A saloon - providing good beer, wine and excellent evening entertainment from musicals to country dancing
