As Stellar As This Experience Could Have Been, We
As stellar as this experience could have been, we are disappointed to note - BE WARNED! The staff at Barbados Beach Club took it upon themselves to make a substitution for something we ordered. They never consulted us or asked for our thoughts. When we questioned the charge - the General Manager said "TOO BAD". I was absolutely flabbergasted that someone who was representing what could be an exquistite restaurant tore it down in one foul swoop with his attitude and complete apathy for customer care.
AVOID! It truly ended our trip on a bad note.

Barabados Is A Wonderful Vacation Choice, But Not
Barabados is a wonderful vacation choice, but not the Barbados Beach Club. This hotel was rated 3-4 stars by the web sites that we researched. It is MAYBE 1-2 stars in reality. The place is really a dump, and they made no effort with the decor or landscaping. We went all inclusive, and the food is bad (NO variety and of poor quality). If you don't make it to the scheduled time for meals, or you don't like it (which is almost a guarantee), you are out of luck because there is no beach-side grill for another option. There is an Italian and seafood restaurant as an options on certain days, but they were equally terrible. We ended up eating out a lot. The local food is wonderful.
The male hotel staff were friendly, but not the females. The best job on the island would be to be their activity director because there LITERALLY WERE NO ACTIVITIES! Every night they played bad music, and everyone just sat around and stared at each other. The water on the south side is rough, but it was a lot of fun if you are a competent swimmer. The watersport guys smoked all day on the job. We had to walk down to the next beach to get any help or instruction with equipment.
We requested an ironing board on the first day and they would only let us keep it for about an hour. I think there were only 2 in the entire resort, and they were both jacked up! We often waited hours to get one. When taking a shower you would get scalded about every 2 minutes. If you are looking for low budget, and if you are OK with it, then here's your spot. They paid no attention to detail and cut corners at every turn. We enjoyed every minute that we were not at the resort, however. The people of Barbados were kind and honest, and the island is beautiful. If we ever go back it will NOT be to the Barbados Beach Club.
