Holguin, Hotel Pernik

The Hotel Pernik is in the Islazul chain, and is a large 1970s building near the edge of the city; it is a 25-30 minute walk to the city centre, Parque Calixto Garcia. Te hotel has a pool, shop and large restaurant, which serves reasonable food. The breakfast may be a buffet, or table service, depending on the number of guests. Bedrooms are reasonable, clean and quite spacious, with en suite bathrooms.

The hotel's website boasts anternet acces; this has been out of order for at least 3 years. The Hotel Pernik could be so much better with more efficient management, but a room on a B&B basis is reasonably priced.
