I Just Returned Last Night From 4 Days At The Bree
I just returned last night from 4 days at the Breezes in the Bahamas. I try to be positive when I can, so in this review, I will say that the security staff is very nice and helpful, as are the front bellman. After you walk past the front door though, just turn back around!!!
We booked this trip 3 months in advance and then had to haggle with the front desk person to get 4 of us in 2 rooms on the same floor. We had requested connecting rooms, but that request was denied - although both rooms had doors connecting to someone else's room. The 4 day "all inclusive" trip was $900 each with flight, etc included - so not a bad deal by any means if just looking at the price tag.
FOOD - You will have a better eating experience in your local high school cafeteria then you will in this dining room. All of it tastes the same - horrible - and there are very few fresh food choices at all. If you love carbs and endless dinner rolls, this is the resort for you, but there is NO selection and even less service in their main dining room. They do boast 2 additional "specialty" restaurants, but to make a reservation you have to be in the lobby at 10 am and stand in line from 30 minutes to an hour, at which point, if there are more than 2 of you, you'll be told that you can't all sit together - or that they've reached their capacity - or that the restaurants are closed.
There is one place to check where your daily activities may be going on. They don't give you a map of the hotel, they don't try to get you involved in any way, and if you'd like to know what is going on you must sit through an hour long hotel orientation - but good luck finding it, as they don't tell you where or when it's being held.
The pool is dirty, the drinks are completely watered down, and if you miss lunch you can choose nachos, hot dogs or hamburgers from the outside grill (EVERY DAY).
SERVICE: As I said it stops with the front bellman - the check in desk is rude, they don't seem to have enough towels as the maids start knocking on doors (or just coming in unannounced to your rooms) at 9:00 am to take your towels every morning. Wait Staff/Food Servers - couldn't be any more rude and while they don't bother trying to seat you, get angry and ignore you if you ask to be seated. The only thing updated in this hotel since the 1970's is the bathroom - which is pleasant, but completely impractical for the rest of the resort.
BEDS - if you're looking for rest and relaxation once you go to sleep at night, forget it and head to the Marriott. You would be more comfortable on Safari in Africa sleeping on cots, than you will be on these beds. The bedding is cheap, scratchy and usually dirty. It doesn't fit the bed, and the mattresses must be about 30 years old at this point. If you like rolling off the bed in your sleep, this is the place for you, as the beds are all on angles from prolonged usage. The halls themselves are all tile, so you'll hear everything going on next to you and coming down the halls all night long. Leaks, mildew and endless dampness is common and there is no dehumidifying system to keep your things dry.
End result - absolutely uncomfortable, unhospitable and not even worthy of a 1 Star rating. If I could get my money back, trust me I would, but you will NEVER find me in this hotel again! Ridiculous and disheartening to know I wasted money and time on a vacation where I was charged to be abused when all I really wanted was some rest and relaxation.
If you do go to Nassau though, please do take the time and do the Flying Cloud snorkel/lunch tour. No nicer group of people can be found or a better time had. As long as you leave this resort, you'll be much happier!
Also the straw market and Senor Frogs make for a good time with more to do and see.

All Of The Employees Took Turns Joining Myself And
All of the employees took turns joining myself and my guests for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They joined us playing games and so much of the entertainment. There was always something to do. Every one bent over backwards to make our especially nice. I would definitely go back to the Superclub Breezes in Nassau again.
I Am The Husband Of Snout Who Posted The Review Be
I am the husband of snout who posted the review before we went for our anniversary, if you like college kids being rowdy bad manners, food and a Butlinesque feel then book here. If you are an average person looking for a picture perfect nice holiday look elsewhere. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

Flew With First Choice All Flights Were On Time An
Flew with First Choice all flights were on time and very comfortable, I would recommend First Choice flights to anyone going long haul as the extra leg room and entertainment available make the long journey more bearable. Sadly the travel was the highlight of the holiday.
Behind the pleasant, modern facade and reception at Breezes lies the stark reality. Although as stated in other reports the beach is indeed very beautiful and the sea exceptionally clean and welcoming the hotel itself can be descibed in one word,"grotty".
It is a throwback to the mid 1970's nightmare holiday to Spain days and in desperate need of a revamp. The room we were allocated was grubby, there were electric sockets hanging loosley from the walls, stains on the carpet and some areas had clearly not seen a duster or hoover for some considerable time. The sliding door to the outside only slid when great force was exerted though why you would wish to open it in the first place would be a mystery as it opens on to a six inch space which even Twiggy in her pomp would have difficulty squeezing on to. The "protective" rail to stop you falling was loose and hardly fit for the purpose, if you have children be warned, ours was downright dangerous.
The bathroom was of similar ilk, I had the misfortune to have some shower gel burst on to a pair of my trousers in my luggage, after dousing them with water in order to remove it I hung them over the shower curtain to allow them to dry. The excess moisture dribbled down the curtain and formed a mucky pool in the bath, it was not from my trousers I can assure you. Many of the fixtures and fittings were loose and a lot of the plumbing visible to the naked eye, there is obviously a shortage of carpenters in the island as nothing was boxed in or tidied up in this respect, call me fussy if you like but it would only take a piece of white plywood and a few screws for heavens sake.
The food at the hotel was passable though the large communal dining room was often crowded and the tables and chairs that you ate at did have a "Ma Kellys Greasy Spoon" feel about them. There was a wide choice of food available at all meal times although due to the buffet method of service not all of it was piping hot and we were careful of what we ate as should the same standard of cleanliness that was applied to our room spill over into the catering I should imagine that food poisoning is a regular occurance.
The main bar was loud and noisy and had the same entertainment on a rolling weekly rota, the furnishings have to be seen to be believed, another throwback to the 70's, it was like Butlins on crack. At one point one evening I turned to my wife and said "This is just like the Pheonix Club." The downstairs Piano bar was better however.
We did not us the pool, it looked grubby like the rest of the hotel, plastic drinks glasses were frequently seen bobbing in the surface along with cigarette ends.
The staff were quite friendly and helpful though as with anywhere in the Carribean you sometimes have to ask more that once to get what you want, the no tipping policy of the hotel may actually work against you in this respect.
All in all a very poor experience, I have stayed in worse places but I did not pay nearly as much for the privilage and basically got what I paid for. This report may sound a little vitriolic however I can tell you that we were not the only ones who felt this way about the hotel. Reception was frequently checking out guests who had arrived only the previous day, why didn't we join them? Well we did and went to stay at the Riu on Paradise Island and guess what? We made friends with two other groups of holiday makers who had done the same the previous week. We also had several conversations with holiday reps (not First Choice) who had guests at the Riu who had moved from Breezes, one of whom said, and I quote, "The place should not be advertised, I have told them they need to pull it from the brochures, the whole place needs knocking down and rebuilding."
Enough said.

I Found The Superclub Breezes Hotel To Be Really N
I found the Superclub Breezes Hotel to be really nice. It is right on the beach, and it has a lovely pool. The food was excellent, and the A la Carte restaurant food was delicious. The room we stayed in was disappointing, as it was a bit shabby, and there are no balconies to sit out on. Despite the bad points, it was an excellent holiday and I would definitely go back to to stay there again.
