Worst Agents I Have Dealt With

The worst customer service and efficiency that you can NOT expect from a travel agent. They are outright incompetent and do not know what they are doing. My flights were booked, then not booked then booked on the wrong schedule. I booked 3 tickets and 1 of them had to be cancelled as they could not get a seat despite taking full payment from me. Now the other 2 had to be cancelled due to airline but I have had to call at least 10 times to get any response- they never call when they say they will. They have no clue absolutely. The main person I was dealing with - poor girl was too afraid to answer my emails or calls. Then this other gentleman (I doubt he is that), answered the call and said she is not there (while she was there 5 min ago) and I asked him what you do as I needed some answers said “customer service” so I shared my grievance with him. His answer was only she can deal with it. I said what department are you from and he said that is confidential!!!

Absolute farce of my booking as all my tickets needs cancelling with full refund. While they take money immediately for booking, they will take 4 weeks for refund of £4k. It was a blessing that I paid by PayPal as they have committed to getting my money back. I have also shared my concerns on the ingenuity of this agent so hopefully they will close their PayPal account or take action.

As the company decided to hold on to my money for 4 weeks, I had insufficient funds and could only book an additional ticket and will not be able to travel with the family for the much-anticipated wedding.

Please avoid at all costs. You will be taken for a ride and a half.

Do Not Make Any Booking With This Company

I am at present working with atol, abta .trading standards and a solicitor to get them closed down.. Don't waste your time go to a reputable company .. These are foreigners using English name such as Alic ' Joe .john etc  and you will not get your holiday ' flights .. STEER CLEAR !

Wouldn't Book Again With This Company

I booked flights to Florida with this company in August 2014 for March 2015 at which point they took £2,700 off me and sent me my relevant documents including a so called e ticket.in February this year I got a call saying my flights coming home had been cancelled, at the time I was at work so asked the man to call me at home after 5.30 that night. That night I received no call so called them back only to be told that the man had finished his shift at 5.30 so was disappointed he hadn't told me that. I spoke to someone else who told me there was about 300 people that had had flights cancelled. I wa assured someone would call me back, this was on the Tuesday. From then I called every day in my lunch hour and at night and was getting fobbed off that no flights were available unless I wanted 3 stops on my way home, with children this wasn't an option. After eventually a week we made the decision to go with different flights that meant going for an extra day and from a different airport, this then cost me an extra £300, when I received the travel documents via email including the atol certificate it appeared my new flights were actually cheaper than the ones I had originally paid for but was offered no refund. Thankfully we were booked with US Airways who were a fantastic company to deal with. If you want no worries regarding flights I would recommend not booking with Travel O World I was lied to when ringing them saying that the person I was dealing with wasn't there but when I received my confirmation through it was in fact from him. I would never book with them again as this was a very worrying week, I actually think our return flight was never there and they just took our money hoping they could get us one, I had trusted them when I received the e ticket but obviously this wasn't wirth the paper it was written on.

This is nightmare. This has happened to me! I had to buy a new set of tickets. The fraud/scam is simple. You call for a very cheap flight you've seen online. That flight has been sold out unfortunately... You're given a reasonable rate on a different flight; at least twice of the original price, but still reasonable. They 'book' you a flight at X rate asking for full payment, not a deposit; you email and call numerous times; no answer their; 1 day before the flight they will call you telling you lies, i.e. flight cancelled; then they try to put you on a cheaper but longer transfer flight without offering any sort of refund; normally 1/4 cheaper than the original flight. if you refuse they will push and book the new flight you didn't agree! A lot of people panic, stress and go through hell because of these people. Do not let them force you a new flight! ask for the tickets or a full refund! if they go ahead and issue you the undesirable tickets anyway don't flight, reschedule with a different company and contact your credit card company and inform them of them of the fraud! Good luck.

Possibly the rudest most inefficient company I have ever dealt with. Managed to salvage my booking and cancel payment, hurrah! Don't go near this company!

Do Not Touch This Company. Total Farce!!!!!!

I booked 2 tickets to Australia for a funeral by phone with this company. I was phoned next day to say my payment did not go through, and that the dates I booked were no longer available. Had to take another date and was told later that day they wanted another £136. As I needed to get there I made the extra payment. Prices advertised on web site are nowhere near what was actually charged. After paying for Visas too, I had to argue with them to get them. I asked for a detailed invoice of charges and was told by the "bookings manager" that they didn't have to give me one. I did receive an invoice by e.mail for the full amount, i.e Breakdown: 1 Flights Booking £----,-- with "complimentary insurance" I never asked for, for which I was charged £5.73.( I thought complimentary was given free of charge!) I am due £40 refund for overpayment, but realistically I can't see them refunding that! Three days it took them to finally sort everything out.

Losing a loved one is hard enough, but having the added stress of dealing with this company was just too much!

Please think twice before using this company, or at least get everything in writing before hand.

I unfortunately had to give them 1 star in the ratings, but do not think they deserve even half.

Avoid At All Costs

Basically, this firm try to sell flights at prices they haven't actually obtained. Their on line price attracts the unsuspecting customer who is then led a merry dance while they get the best price they can which invariably is substantially more. The only saving grace was that they didn't actually take a payment from my credit card during this process and, once I advised them that I didn't wish to proceed, they backed off.

Don't Go Near This Company.

We booked 2 tickets to Buenos Aires with them on 13 October, leaving on 20 dec and returning 3 jan (so a peak period). Gave card details at the time of booking. No etickets forthcoming, rang several times and were assured they would be with us in the next few days (depending who we spoke to, anything from next morning to 7 days hence due to airline not releasing allocation - something we hadn't been warned about at the time of booking). Payment wasn't taken for a few days from the card (is this legal?) but when it was we expected the tickets to appear.

A few days later was horrified to get a phone call from the company saying we could only have the tickets if we paid an extra £800, or we could have a full refund. However by this stage the cost of flights had gone up so much that it was still cheaper to pay the extra. When we rang to do this, mysteriously the extra amount had gone down to £600. Gritting our teeth we paid the extra, and were told we would get the etickets the next day.

Cutting a long story short, these never materialised. We rang several times each day speaking to at least 6 different people, many of whom promised to ring us back but never did. All the time accommodation and internal flights in Argentina were getting more and more booked up, but we didn't dare book anything until we knew we had confirmed flights.Eventually we gave the company a deadline that if we hadn't received the tickets by 10 pm that night ( which they promised we would) we'd have to cancel.

Needless to say, no etickets were forthcoming. We checked with Iberia (who we were supposed to be travelling with) and they had no record of our booking. We requested a refund and this finally came through a week later. In the meantime the cost of flights to Argentina has skyrocketed and we have had to abandon the entire trip. Very disappointing as we'd promised our daughter who rheas been travelling for months that we'd be with her for Christmas. Altogether a very unhappy ending and I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole. They have ruined our Christmas and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I Would Not Even Give Them A Star!!!

I have booked tickets for four people and months I have been chasing for those tickets. They have been passing me around after paying my balances off! I would never use this again. In fact, if I miss my flight because they haven't given me those tickets I swear I will sue this terrible company.

Do Not Use This Company Its A Joke

After booking on the web site which I found very easy I get a call from Travel world this is after my credit card had been debit.

I'm sorry to say sir.. That we have forgot to add on fuel costs and we have put you down for 0 suite cases.... However you can pay an extra £150.00 to add both items on to the booking.

No thanks I will have my money back.

Be very careful when booking.Extras will be added and as the customer you will be out of pocket.

Terrible Service And Agents

i recently booked with Traveloworld,, the worst customer service experience ever. I made it clear to them about being worried about booking with them following all the bad reviews,, they said those cases were isolated and I would have these tickets in a few days as already confirmed.

This didnt happen and I was then lied to for 2 months about issues with the airlines sending the tickets,, they have the tickets but their email is down,, the list goes on,, and it meant I wasnt sure if the tickets were coming couldnt book the accommodation and then finally they sent the tickets short weeks before I was suppose to be travelling as threatened legal action if they did not give me a refund or ticketss,, and then all of a sudden the tickets appeared... as they agreed refund if no tickets within 24 hours!!!

Management never email or call you back and then they do they lie!!

AVOID at all costs,, pay the little extra with a reputable agency or airline!!!
