Vale do Lobo, Le Meridien Dona Filipa 5*

I don't think this is still owned by Meridien, but anyway: it's a nice hotel which is a bit run down. Good pool area with lovely rooftaop and sea views, rooms are fine all though air con is a bit hit and miss. Never ate anything there other than Breakfats so can't comment on the food. Still owns San lorenzo golf course where you get preferential rates so it is largely populated by male golf parties....

With the current exchange rate, and high prices in the Algarve already, it's eye-wateringly expensive. I worked out that the pringles from the mini bar cost 15p each..... that's per pringle!
