Needs Improvement
The place was nice, the Chalet was cozy. However, I think they can promote more about the place with social media and get more customers. They can easily put this on ECrent.com for example. Register with "France", you can get three items uploading for free.

Chalet Hector.stayed Here Last Week When The Tour
Chalet Hector.Stayed here last week when the Tour de France came through - a great experience. Morzine in the summer is excellent. Managed to persuade our two 'grown up' children (19 and 22) to come along, and they begrudgingly acknowledged what a great place it was for the summer. In the week we managed 2 days of watching TdF and combined that with walking, mountain biking, canyoning, white water rafting, paragliding and eating. A great week. The chalet is very nicely appointed, with Sky TV, Wifi, Ipod dock, is tastefully decorated, and was adequately equipped with dishwasher washing machine and tumble dryer. We didn't have any problems with the electricity supply, although to be fair we were pre-warned. We drove from the UK, so can't comment on whether the new managers are anymore competent than the previous lot in terms of organising transfers. The chalet is a 25 minute walk down to the village, a bit longer on the way back, and in the summer the navette didn't seem to be running. So, in the summer at least, your own transport is essential. I don't know how often it runs in the winter, but I noted that the bus stop is a few yards away only. Morzine is a great summer and winter destination, and Chalet Hector is a lovely place to stay. Recommended.

Chalet Hector, In Morzine, Is A Lovely 5 Bedroomed
Chalet Hector, in Morzine, is a lovely 5 bedroomed chalet that was recently refurbished to a high standard. It is situated just 2kms from town centre and 1km from the nearest ski lift. The free ski bus stops 30 metres from the chalet and links to all the main lifts that access the Portes du Soleil ski region. As from June 2010, it is no longer part of Snow & Trek's portfolio and is now under new management in resort.

We Booked For 9 People (mixture Of Adults And Chil
We booked for 9 people (mixture of adults and children) to go to Chalet Hector in Morzine through Snow and Trek. As the chalet was a couple of miles out of town we debated hiring a car from Geneva. However, we asked Snow and Trek, if we booked a transfer with them, could we stop off in a Supermarket to stock up for the week. We were told no problem so booked a transfer with them.
On arrival at the airport the pick-up was late and when it did turn up we were told that one of our party could not travel with us but would have to wait at the airport for another transfer. Although quite annoyed about this we agreed and went on our way. On arrival at Morzine the driver made it clear that he expected us to stock up for 9 people for a week in 15 mins. We did our best and were out within 25 minutes. This left the driver fuming - on arrival at the chalet he was swearing (about us) audibly under his breath. With children present, this was unacceptable and led to a heated discussion with the new Snow and Trek rep who was presenting us with the keys. We were told the driver was 'tired' which apparently made his behaviour fine.
Later in the evening the electricity went off in the Chalet - with only emergency lighting in the halls. We were forced to call the emergency 'help' line and were told twice to 'Stop Talking!'. Eventually a man from Snow and Trek turned up - it turns out there is a problem in the chalet and every night the electricity shorted when the kettle and oven were on simultaneously. The man from S&T berated us over the transfer (again!) said they were 'very busy' and that the driver was 'tired'. He made it sound like they were doing us a favour - we had paid over 450 euros for the transfer and got pre-agreement of a stop off. If they'd just said 'no' we would have hired a car. Eventually the man from S&T stormed out pulling his car out of the drive in a comically speedy manner which at least temporarily raised a chuckle.
I have holidayed in the Alps for the past 10 years. Never have I experienced such awful service - no-one has complained to me that they can't do their jobs or be civil because they are 'really busy' or 'tired'. At the end of the first day half the party were shocked and upset whilst the remainder were just very cross at our treatment.
The chalet itself is fine - recently refurbished, with 5 bedrooms, but about 2 miles out of town. However, we will never stay there again as long as Snow and Trek Morzine are the letting agents. They are a disgrace.
I found this review very helpful because... it sounds as if the chalet was nice but Snow and Trek let you down. snow and trek sound as if they need to go on a course in how to deal with people- if you had children in your party too then I can only imagine how stressful that must have been. Does not sound as if Snow and Trek provide an adequate service. disgrace! SR
yes this pretty much sums them up.
The chalet was OK, bedrooms a bit small, no space for clothes etc.
The electrics tripping are a pain but easy enough to fix. It just means that someone needs to go into the cold to get to the garage to sort it out.
It was a little far out which meant a walk back in the evenings is a real chore (the buses stop at around 8pm), so be mindful that getting a taxi in Morzine isn't easy (costs around €20).
As for the management company, well they couldn't care less.
Poor service. Only there for the money. Our mini bus driver was chatting on his cell and sending sms messages whilst driving the mini bus. Stay clear of these in my opinion.
