We Have Just Finished A Week In The Snow Staying A
We have just finished a week in the snow staying at the Blue Dragon, and I have to say it was one of the nicest places... The staff and owners were great, extremely helpful... Even drawing me maps and working out train timetables for
me.
Breakfast every morning was delicious, fresh towels every second day and the rooms were very toasty. We even turned down the heat sometimes cos the cosy doonas were enough.
It's location is great, close to pubs, restaurants and shuttle bus stops.
Complimentary laundry facilities, wi fi and transport to the snow if you were willing to leave at 7.30.
All in all, we can't recommend this place enough : )

We Stayed At The Blue Dragon, Hakuba, And Was Real
We stayed at the Blue Dragon, Hakuba, and was really disappointed. We found the hosts/owners quite rude, the service was poor and the rooms cold. There are many other great options in Hakuba, so definitely give the Blue Dragon a miss. Good points were location and facilities
I have to say i agree with the first comment and completely disagree with the second. During the time i stayed there the owners were very rude, even from the very first moment we walked through the door with our lugguge, not exactly a way to greet your guests. Whilst they were good for a quick chat, that was it, not much of what was advertised on the website was delivered. Myself, my partner and the majority of the patrons were treated like unwelcome guests most of the time whilst I'm pretty sure the only person staying there that actually did have a good/hospitable experience was surprise a high ranking member of the Australian Alpine Club who was thinking of affiliating the lodge with the AAC. To the owners, deliver on what you advertise and treat all guests equally, anyone can give a review.
I completely disagree with your comments. I found the owners often went above and beyond with helpful hints and were always happy to chat and share stories. Perhaps you didnt notice (or read in the guest book, or ask your hosts) the rooms have their own thermostat so you control that yourself.
