In mid-May, 2015, my son and I did the 3-day/4-night version of the Llangollen Round. We were very pleased with all aspects of our experience. Scott was a conscientious “host,” providing us with all the information we needed for a successful trip and arriving most punctually to pick us up at the hotel he had arranged for us and at the various pick-up points throughout. The price covered all of the information, transportation within the four days of our actual hike, and the hotel. We also paid an extra fee to have Scott pick us up in Chester, about 45 minutes away from Llangollen, which was very convenient, allowing us to take the fast train from Euston Station in London, without having to worry about transfers. The town and surrounding countryside were absolutely beautiful, and all information and advice full and useful. We recommend using Go Walking in Wales if you want a well-planned and supported trip that covers several days, but relieves you of the necessity of schlepping bags day to day and excellent accommodations at a most reasonable price.
