Holiday Booked Through Co-op

I had booked holidays through co-op previously and was very happy as they would always give me a better price than the tour operator, however I will not be booking any more holidays through them. Before they would waive the cc charges which made the overall price much cheaper but this time their cc charges were actually more than the tour operator charges!! Had I known that I would never have booked my holiday with them.

Moreover I had just called the customer services and the woman I spoke to could not be less interested. If the company is not interested in retaining and listening to their customers then why should I give them with my custom? Never again! Co-op should remember how many other companies there are out there providing this service...

Please be aware when booking your holiday with them and check the overall price including any charges before you actually book with them.

Had No Luggage On Our All Inclusive Package!

We paid over £5400.00 for our holiday this year which we booked through King Street Co-operative Travel in Nottingham. There were 6 of us travelling to Majorca on a Monarch flight only to find that when we go to the airport our 6 cases had not been added onto the package (Error of the person who works in the shop)

As we had no cash on us apart from our spending money which was limited as we were going all inclusive I had to pay £150.00 out to get our cases to Majorca with us on my bank card. I only just had enough on my card to cover the cost and my family had to go without lunch as we spent our lunch/drinks money on the cases I also had numerous bounced direct debts whilst I was away for 2 weeks and there was nothing I could to about it as I was told by the manager at the store(who I had to ring from abroad )that I would have to wait till we returned to claim the money back. I was fuming and also we had no return luggage on our booking. She did however sort this out for us but to be honest ruined my holiday as I was constantly worrying about the return flight in case something went wrong, knowing we had no more money on us to pay for the cases to get home should something go wrong.

I will never book with them ever again as when I went to get a refund was told by the manager that if I wanted to claim my bank charges back that she would not refund the £150.00 until I had put it in writing and it had gone through head office, basically saying that if I was complaining then I would have to wait for my £150.00 to be returned. I will be taking this matter further as It was humiliating in the airport and my family had to go hungry and thirsty for hours thanks to us having to spend our holiday savings on the cases.

Disgusting....should not happen! Will never book ever again with Co-operative travel!

Change Of Flights With Compensation

Got a call of cooperative travel today and was advised they were changing my travel arrangements. I accepted that i may just have to tolerate this however what I was offered was a change to my flight four days earlier or to an airport the other side of the country again on different dates or a full refund. I wasn't happy with the alternatives so asked for a full refund and a refund of my airport parking and insurance that were non-flexible. Their response was that the contract states because they have given me over 70 days notice tough luck. My costs are a direct result of a change to their flight timetable over 12 hours (classed as a major change) and the OFT state that timescales of notice in a contract to reduce a suppliers liability is unfair terms. Never again will I go with thomas cook or cooperative travel.

So Nice!

We went at a quiet time and were greeted with a smile and felt that we could expect good service immediately. We were only there for half an hour but all our questions were answered and we walked out looking forward to our holiday. We will certainly go back to make arrangements for our next trip.We have no criticisms .Altogether a good experience.

How Can People Say They Are Good!!!

Shocking overall. No email address. just a phone line where you pay 35p a minute, and after 40 mins waiting you have to give up!!!

Simply terrible

Definitely Not Co-operative - Very Poor Service

I recently booked a Canadian Rockies tour and an Alaskan Cruise. The tour operator was Newmarket Holidays but my agent was the Co-op. All was well until my personal agent left the company. I was not allocated another account manager and had to do my own check in on-line, my own visa etc. I contacted the co-op only to be informed that it was ONLY a call centre and couldn't help. I contacted Newmarket myself to obtain the information required. When I e-mailed a Manager in the co-op requesting compensation as I had done their job for them I was informed that if I could name the call centre individual they would speak to their line manager with regards to training. They did admit that I should have been allocated a replacement Account Manager and that I would be called the next day. I was left a voice mail but the caller did not leave a number. I managed to trace him but was informed that he was in operations but would make sure I received my paperwork on time. I again e-mailed the manager requesting some of the commission that they had been paid for effectively doing nothing. I was informed that they would not give me any compensation whatsoever. If you want a Travel Agent who works on your behalf and doesn't just take commissions for poor service then DO NOT go to the co-op.

Fantastic Holiday

Booked 2 weeks in Kefalonia in the Coop Travel, Loughton Essex. It was one of their last minute Hot Deals. Not expecting too much as the holiday was so cheap my daughter and I were thrilled when we arrived and saw we had an amazing room and the pool was excellent. The whole experience was seamless; the flights were on time we had 20kg luggage allowance, meals on the flights, chose the seats, and the transfers were on time. The hotel was way better than expected. All in all 2 very satisfied customers. The ladies in the Coop Loughton are approachable and friendly as well. We've now booked three holidays with the Coop and will definitely booking next year's holiday there as well.
