Jm Going Downhill
since taken back by Gemporia, presenters changed, programmes cut short and most importantly items gone up in price tremendously and strings getting shorter and shorter.
as ever, mr Bennett taking over something and turning it into something to make huge profit from, for himself only. the irony is all these experts and specialist come in to say you are getting great deal!!!! reality is you can get much better deals from my local hobby maker shop.
I Was Initially Happy With Jewellerymaker Until Today.
I'd placed various orders within the space of 5 days, all of which were of considerable value. A few days later I received a dispatch notification and also message telling me that my order would be delivered the next day via DPD courier. Unfortunately, it was not. The next day I contacted Jewellery Maker only to be told to wait because it would probably be delivered the next day. It wasn't! So, I contacted DPD and they told me that although the order details had been received, the parcel had not and to contact Jewellery Maker. I did and an investigation was taken up. I really wanted the items and could see that some of them were still available on the site. I'd managed to order some discounts during their birthday week. Anyway, 3 days after my delivery was expected, I'm contacted and offered a full refund. Now I would have preferred replacements on the items still available on a refund on those that weren't and although I did receive a missed call from the Parcel Investigation team, I didn't get the chance to ask for replacements on deals that I really wanted. Feeling very annoyed and I don't want to shop with them anymore because of this. *sigh*. Hopefully, I will get the available items replaced. If so I'll write another review, but right now I'm just feeling very disappointed because I've spent a lot of money with Jewellery Maker over the past few years and I expected so much more from them :(.
Disgusting
They cancel orders without notice, when queried told payment could not be taken which is a total impossibility, told emails were sent which they were not!!!! I would say that my order was given to someone else because they over sold, customer service is absolutely NON-EXISTENT totally dont care. Has gone downhill since been sold and will only continue to go further down. such a shame
Avoid Like The Plague!
AVOID! What supplier sells a used steel block with scratches and dents on it?!
No point contacting them as I already know their customer service is shockingly bad. I'll not use again for personal or business items.

Bad Customer Service
Phoning JM "Customer Service" very recently concerning a broken item I was told that unless the item was returned first by Special Delivery they could not send a replacement. As a disabled customer I pointed out that would take me quite a while, I need to find somebody to go to the post office for me.
As they,only had one replacement still in stock I asked could they send it to me with a return postsge bag or something similar to expedite matters?
The CS female said no we do not do that because the item may not be actually broken!
The inference being I am a liar and want a free item.
I never look forward to speaking to the JM Customer Service people as they are usually dismissive, unhelpful and totally unconcerned with me the customer.
Delivery is usually late and the beads, bags, findings etc are no longer of the quality they first made their name with. Instead of being customer focused they are apparently only interested in their own fun filled personal details (shared on screen ad infinitum) and selling anything they can get their hands on, no matter the quality.
ITs the same all over ,from insurance to tvs . when you speak to them they are like robots speaking actually no Manners or customer kindness seams to be something wrong with them all . who employ,s these people the only option we have is give them the worst write up and comments we can , We dont complain enough ,A useless generation no wonder they are only working 4 hours a day .. We need to get in to the habit off first asking thier name and operators number . That is if they have iQ to remember them lol
Bad Customer Service
New to jewellery maker made several orders first being a beautiful set of cabochons these arrived all shoved together in bubble wrap so 11 of them were scratched not a good look, was told I'll have to send them all back including wire not just the ones that were scratched , shame as was a birthday pressie. ordered 2 kits some of the silver plated findings were of extreme poor quality but ok a recent purchase was the chasing hammer and block set ordered late at night on their so called bargains imagine then tuning in in the morning just a few hours later to find the same set but with the added extra of a big roll of gold wire all for the same price I paid how disappointing I was under the illusion that I purchased a bargain on the late show as that was how it was put across to me how is it a bargain if you get a better deal in the morning????? Misleading and rip off I called to mention I didn't think this was right only to be greeted by a gentleman who really could not give a hoot! But agreed to refund p+p however this has yet to materialise and I suspect probably won't. Also had problems with confirmation emails only confirming one part of an order website is poorly done since the changeover constantly going wrong so that you cannot place an order I love some of the products particularly the gemstones but it's not a great experience and I'm certainly put off by a majority of the presenters talking about irrevelant things etc I mean what the hell I've tuned in to watch and buy jewellery I don't want to know about your lives or your opinions on subjects or see you race around the studio with forks show me the goods that I wish to purchase think jm gonna lose a lot of viewers keeping this charade up
Totally agree with you. The presenters spend more time talking about their personal lives and larking around than they do telling us the paying eejits about the gems etc!
Broken storage bag meant I had to phone customer service. Rep inferred I may be lying and basically dismissed me and my concerns.
They take your money, take an age to deliver then dismiss you if you dare to call them! Terrible service and company.
Was Pleased At First But...
....after i brought a few items from here i was quite pleased. The sterling silver findings are quite a good and are at cheap prices then most places. however i began buying there Gems of Distinction range. The annoying presenters always go on and on about the quality being amazing. So i brought a few strands only to be dispointed that the quality is so bad. The stones are not what you expect, some are almost colourless or included greatly or cloudy. There are other online stores that sells gemstones for jewellery making at a better quality and of similar price. I have had one or two successes with items but mostly have been disappointed.
Fortunately i have been able to return the items to them i always get my money back. Just make sure its in the 30 day return period. I simply state they are not what i expected.
The presenters are a major put off on this channel and the classes do not seem worth the money. I am shocked they are charging so much, when you can learn the skills from YouTubers for free. There are better videos online demostrating all the techniques. This is how i learned.
Presenters who spend more time telling us their personal stories and less about the products need to be retrained.
I want to buy great quality gems and findings...not the poor quality pieces received this past month.
I want to know anout the country my gems are from, their clarity, carat weight,, their colour and cut. Not what the presenter did last night, her partner or jokes.
I am leaving them and shopping elsewhere!

Amateur And Shockingly Presented
Was quite excited when I first learnt there was a channel dedicated to jewellery making, as I am just starting out in this hobby, so made a cuppa and tuned in... Oh my god... It has to be watched to believe how bad it is. The presenter is loud, leery, shouts at the screen, sings loud out of tune. EVERY SET of beads that come on to sell she just screams "OH MY GOD I JUST LOVE THESE !! " it's like she is just having a pub conversation with the camera crew constantly. The classes are awful , when their made jewellery is picked up it falls apart !, some other beading forums are commenting about how this channel are giving wrong instructions (but I am not experienced enough to comment on that ) . The beads and sets seem to be a good price but I can't watch this channel to get these items because the presenter grates on every nerve. Such a shame as it is a good idea for a channel
I used to watch this channel a lot.Also bought a large quantity of items.I agree that the channel is not pleasant to watch as there is too much emphasis on personal matters,off camera comments ,silly behaviour and over selling of gems and other items.Do they really think we are stupid?The quality of a lot of items have,in my opinion,deteriorated too such as a lot of stones broken and less wide a range of real gemstones being offered.JM started off saying they loved real gems and hated glass.Now they sell Swarovski stones .I have nothing against these and have used them but it shows how JM changed with new management and how the staff who adored genuine gemstones soon changed their tunes.I can't take this channel seriously anymore and like others agree there are better bargains to be had elsewhere.

Probably talking about presenter Lucy..wish she would calm down and stop always randomly stopping the presenting to yell across at some off camera person, it's boring and rude
