The DVD Barn Online DVD Rental service have no phone number to call, and they will not give you one. They seem to have no concern for customer service.

DVD Barn www.dvdbarn.com - I believe this company has done a great job. The shipping time is about 2 days each way so I have no reason to believe they are dishonest about receiving returns or ship dates. Customer service was also very helpful for me as I was not charged for a selection lost in the mail.

I love the price if you go with the SuperPass plan of less than $9.50/month. I usually pay less than $1 per rental overall. I also love the feature allowing you to report when your last dvd was returned so the next one is sent out. I have read some bad reviews of this company on several discussion sites, but for me it has been a wonderful experience that has saved me money. It also has a nice mom and pop video store appeal to it because distribution (mailing) centers are local video stores. I believe this is the best online dvd rental deal available.

To avoid any problems, the reason for most bad reviews you might read involving lost dvds or refusal of the company to issue a refund:

1. Report any lost dvds to customer service.

2. Keep up with specific mailing envelope for each dvd--each have a specific number but you must pay attention and match up numbers. The reason is you will probably receive dvds from different shipping centers.

3. If skeptical, try Intelliflix for 1 month plan and if happy try yr long SuperPass. If you pay for yr. of service up front at cheap price, they will not refund if you want to cancel.

From my experience, I believe this to be an honest company that is still improving. Dollar-for-dollar this is the best deal available for online dvd rentals in my opinion.

DVD Barn www.dvdbarn.com - I've been a member for a while and this is the best value for the price anywhere, bar none. I like to watch movies but don't live for them so I'm not expecting to get 20 in a month. I get all the movies I want and there are no problems at all with their selection. I even get games when I want them, that's great.

I would definitely recommend them, without a doubt.

I've been a member of 'DVD Barn www.dvdbarn.com' for one month, April. During this month I was able to get a total of nine DVD's. All of which had been released previous to the middle of March or significantly earlier, eventhough the top of my queue was top heavy with their rather meager list of "new releases".

After complaining during this "honeymoon" period of the first month, my last expected film shipped was from the very end of my queue, Dracula (1979) - instead I received Dracula (1932).

Their support was neither on topic, nor able to address any significant issues.

Their coming soon list has a total of five DVDs listed, and until this week Hotel Rwanda was not a selection. Primer is not a selection, nor is Assassination of Richard Nixon. Don't even imagine getting foreign films.

Searching for DVDs is bug ridden, and often results in blank pages.

The turn-around from the DC area is at best a snails pace.

At 16+ dollars for their three at a time option, I feel totally ripped-off and thankfully I did not try their sucker, er, super pass.

Strongly recommend stearing clear, to paraphrase Woody Allen - The Food is Bad, and the Portions are Small.

Joined for 1 month received more BS by way of Emails than I did movies!! Seems this outfit uses Pony Express for Delivery and Returns!! Got my bank to reverse the first months dues, so I lost nothing, but I will never be had by one of these con-jobs again!!

I have been a member of DVD Barn (www.dvdbarn.com) for years. They were purchased by intelliflix a while ago. Before intelliflix it was a good company with a good value, afterwards this has been nothing but a nightmare. I purchased the 1 year special. I asked if I could purchase a partial of the premium special at the discounted rate as I just wanted to try it out. I was then upgraded to a full year of the premium at the premium price. I emailed again and said I didn't want that and only wanted the standard if a mix/match couldnt be done for that 1 year. I was then charged for another year of service. I told them I didn't want that or the other one and wanted to be cancelled. It took many emails and I was then refunded for only the standard. I complained numerous times about wanting to completely cancel and I never received any movies for weeks and weeks for the final days of a current month I was in. I wasn't shipped a movie for weeks on end! I threatened to report the company and received a free month + the movies I rented a long time ago. After that month I received free I was charged a higher rate than any of the services I had ever purchased or inquired about for the next month (even though I wanted to be cancelled) I found the phone number and address and called them up. I was promised a refund and I am still awaiting it...

Call them with any complaints you may have and report them to the BBB if you go through anything like I did.

I've been a member since 2003. June 2004 to Oct 2004 service was terrible due to buyout. Since then it's been great. I usually get movies in one or two days.
