Value For Money

No Hardship Losing Weight

I've followed Tesco diets (diabetic plan) under the 'Guardian Eat Right' banner on a number of occasions and always come back to it when my resolve has faltered and I need to lose weight. As has been said many times in these reviews the mentor support is fantastic: positive, encouraging and wise. Having more time to prepare food, I have always chosen the 'recipe-based' meals which are entirely interchangeable to match what I have in the store cupboard. The food is tasty and filling and based largely on the Anthony Worral Thompson series of diabetic diet books and I find I lose easily, without stress and I feel great. I've lost 1 and a half stone in six weeks and am confident that I will reach my target weight at some point in the future. Just got to discipline myself to keep it off. Good luck to anyone just starting out or on an existing weight-loss regime.

After Years Of Failing I Am Succeeding At Last

I joined the Tesco diet plan six months before actually starting it and it was a nudge from them to say did I want to carry on which spurred me into action. With hips problems and chronic acid reflux I knew the Drs would say lose weight so thought I would give it a whirl. I am on the diabetic diet and in the first instance struggled with the plan and was constantly sending emails to the girls asking questions, still am actually but normally it's because I don't read it properly. I love the fact that it gives you daily totals and if it's something you don't like on the menu you can substitute and it will evaluate it for you. It will even calculate your own recipes for you and any ready meals can be added.

You have to be honest with your weigh in let's face who are you hurting only yourself if you lie and the encouragement you get from all the team is wonderful, they not only give you confidence to do it it's a two way thing we can help them and it proves they are doing a good job.

Since starting I have lost two and a half stones and I have stopped the blood pressure tablets completely as per my Dr and have cut my diabetes tablets down.

Don't set yourself too high a target I do it half a stone at a time and really work at it to get under the next stone let's face it thirteen sounds better than fourteen doesn't it even if it is only a pound under. Give yourself a treat, a manicure or pedicure, new dress or a special occasion to work to. My next one is a week away and I am aiming for half a stone off before then.

Your never to old I am sixty seven, have joined a Zumba and yoga class and I love the laughs we all have.

Finally I love the fact that I don't have to sit for an hour waiting whilst everyone is weighed for a ten minute talk its all on the screen or a question away with the online mentors.

Excellent Diet!

What I like about Tesco Diets, in particular, is that you don't feel you are actually on a diet!

There are no fads, no great restrictions - just sensible eating with healthy tasty food and recipes.

The recipes are such that other family members can share them and won't even think the meals are part of a diet.

Also you can take a break from the diet if, for example, you are on holidays. Just inform Tesco Diets and they'll take care of it.

And if you put on weight on your holidays (all part of enjoying a break?!), then just continue on with your diet where you left off. There's no pressure on you to catch up!

It's a slow and steady ( and healthy!) way to lose weight - you may just lose a half a pound to one pound per week. This may seem very little but it adds up over the weeks to give you the result you want.

Also there is a great deal of help and advice available from the mentors and on the forum.

I also found the website very easy to use and the smartphone app is also very handy.

I think it's an excellent way to lose weight and would definitely recommend the Tesco Diet.

I just wanted to take the time to say a big thank you to your team for their amazing support,

I have followed various plans but the tesco diet plan works for me, I enjoy the structure of having meals suggested for me as I love to cook from scratch.

I was away on family visit and gained only a pound which I was happy with as normally holidays are a disaster when it comes to food, but sad as it may sound I was looking forward to getting home to look at my menu plan,

Can I say a big thank you to the advisor who has been a great support and motivator , her emails are personal and make me feel that she really cares about my weight loss success

Fab Diets That Really Works

Have been on the tesco diet since first week of January and have lost 2 stone 5lb. The food is varied and you can still have treats such as biscuits and chocolate! Have recommended to a friend who says she can't call it a diet as the food is so good and she can still have a bacon buttie! The mentors are always on hand to help you get the calories right for your lifestyle. I have just renewed for another 6 months

Fool Proof

I've been on tesco diets for a few months, and have lost nearly a stone. I've found it easy to follow and a great range of different meal options. I've never gone hungry or dissatisfied! My favourite part is a personal reply every weigh in. It makes the experience feel less lonely, and the ladies who reply are always so helpful and friendly. I will always recommend tesco diets.

Great Weight Loss!!

I m so pleased with the Tesco Diet, I ve only been on it for about 10 days and I lost 4lbs in the first week. I know even though I haven't weighed in yet for the second week I ve lost more as my clothes are fitting me great! I m no longer squeezing into a 10-12 I m already in an 8-10!! So feel fantastic. Like the fact there is advice at hand and if the question isn't answered straight away someone always emails very soon! Taken me a bit of time to find my way around and initially quite a bit to read about my diet plan but well worth reading! So join today you will be pleased with the results and believe me the first 4-5 days are the hardest and then it gets easier so stick with it and you will achieve your goal!

So Easy To Follow And Not Gone Hungry Once

I started Tesco Light Choices diet just over 5 weeks ago, I have not once gone hungry and have lost 2lb a week for the last 5 weeks. The menu is easy to follow, order and shop from and I am able to swap foods and make changes for foods that i will eat. For example some meals have things like nuts and olives which i don't personally like so you can tell the meal planner never to use that meal again. Also you are able to swap/add/change elements within a meal, for example you may have lunch come up as beef slice roll with an apple, with the meal plan you are able to change the beef to chicken and the apple to a pear or orange for example. It is a calorie based diet that I am currently allowed 1200 calories a day on. You can track you meal online and added extras, and your water, fruit, calcium, tea/coffee intake is also tracked. At the end of each week you get a score as to show how well you have done. There is also the opportunity to join the fit or recipe club to as part of the plan. This is the first diet that I have not felt like giving up on after the first few weeks, if you hate counting points or syns this could be the diet for you.

Its The Only Diet That Has Ever Worked For Me!!

Its the best diet plan I have ever followed and I have tried them all! in under 3 months I have lost 22 lbs! The other members and the mentors are so supportive and encouraging and always there to keep you on track!! The mobile app is the handiest part in my opinion, its so easy to keep on track with food during the day when your out and about, and the huge archive of foods already stored is fab simply type in anything and it will tell you the nutritional information..I love how varied it is and that its based on the food pyramid so I know Im staying healthy and its not just some fad diet for quick weight loss.. its a complete lifestyle change it teaches you so much about a healthy lifestyle your whole family will benifit from it! Its also cheaper than any other diet plan ive followed so I would encourage anyone to try it! If I can follow Tesco Diets and stick to it literally anyone can!!!
