Great Deal

Just taken delivery 22/01/2018 of a Nissan Qashqai from GB Cars.

First time I’ve bought this way and was apprehensive but the person I dealt with answered all my questions before I decided and I have to say I will use them again.

Excellent service, got regular updates from the lady I dealt with and her team, good saving, and delivered on time.

Highly recommend.

Only down side is Nissan –rear light not working.

Spot On, No Problems

I ordered an Audi A1 in August for my wife. After shopping around we pretty much had the spec sorted, however trying to get one in a short time-scale to that spec was proving difficult (previous car written off). The guys at GB car deals were really efficient and managed to get one in exactly the same colour as my Q5. The only thing they couldn't get me was the auto-wipers, but as they sorted the car within a little over 3 weeks I couldnt complain. Happy with the organisation and even the delivery guy managed to sneak it to my wifes office without her knowing it was coming so soon. would definately recommend. B Rourke.

Got What I Paid For

I asked for a quote from gbcardeals in April and despite massive uncertainty about making a big purchase with someone on the end of the phone,went for it.i ordered my seat Leon 1.4 tsi 150 5dr and then changed my mind on spec, which they were able to change once and once only, as it was built with various options rather than standard model. Admittedly I made a couple of panic phone calls to check I was doing the right thing,the deposit was paid by credit card, I then got an email every couple of weeks which basically said the same....late june/early July delivery,and finally got the email to say it was in the country,then the email asking for the balance once ready,paid by bacs, could have had it July 3 but was away so was delivered (driven from middlesborough to Chatham Kent so had 250miles on the clock when it was put on my drive) luckily I spoke to the driver who rang to say he would be an hour, and I mentioned he should drive it nicely as it was mine NOT a lease/hire car, maybe if I had not said that....he would not have taken it to be washed before delivery,or maybe he would have?????? It was exactly as I had specced my car(panoramic roof,winter pack,convenience pack,led lights,alcantara seats) was given mats to fit, service book, two keys plus wheel nut key and all was ok, took the delivery man to local hire company for him to get car to go home. NO log book arrived with the car, that arrived approximately a month later,with me as first owner. Car has done 1200 miles now as is fine, and I saved 4k on list, obviously a dealer would have offered a discount or generous part exchange so would have been a lesser saving.after the process and despite some sleepless nights wondering if I had done the right thing, I got exactly what I asked for...cheaper, although you will need to use a dealers services to check out cars and options(dealer will tell you what options are a must ie tech pack.....even if you don't want it,you will need it to sell on). Wow Great Company

I bought a new Seat Ibiza Cupra from www gbcardeals com (Spectrum

Vehicle Contracts Limited) in March 2015. I was VERY sceptical of the

whole deal as the price was too good to be true but after covering

myself at every point just in case, I decided to take the plunge. The Salesman I was dealing with was fantastic easy to get on with and he

explained if I paid the deposit by Credit Card my money would be safe

under the Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, being a sceptical

person at the best of times I checked this and he was spot on. He also

explained that I may not be the 1st registered keeper of the car, but in

my case I am. They were completely open about this from the beginning

this information was also in black and white in the contract.

I was then introduced to another person fantastic at his job! Rang me

when he said he would I did not have to chase them at all and that

can’t be said about my local dealerships, he was very helpful and

understanding when my bank messed up on the day when I was paying, he

was very patient indeed. www gbcardeals com will be my first point of call for my next new car.

It was the best experience I have had buying a car. I will give them the opportunity to quote for my next new car as well.

If you are suggesting this review is fictitious then you are incorrect, for this review to be posted I had to prove that I had indeed purchased a car from them.

You were absolutely right to be VERY sceptical. I note that the numerous negative reviews have been removed from this site at the request of the company. The company are currently under investigation by the police and Trading Standards departments for misrepresentation and posting fictitious reviews online.

Do not touch this company. I got a car, but I didn't get a log book and the vehicle wasn't registered to me.

Truly Shocking Experience

This has been a truly shocking experience. Please avoid at all costs.

I ordered a new car from GB Car Deals (Spectrum Vehicle Finance

Limited) in August 2013.  They offered a reasonable discount and

seemed like a decent company.

The car was brand new, build to order and I paid the first registration

fee. I therefore assumed that I would own the car, it would be

registered to me and I would be able to use it legally on the road.  Surely this is a fair assumption after paying over £14,000 cash for a new car? Obviously not when ordering from GB Car Deals.

After waiting two months, the car was delivered. Unfortunately, it

was completely the wrong car due to an alleged manufacturing error. This

was disappointing, but I accept that mistakes occasionally happen.

The company apologised and let me drive the incorrect car until my

new one was delivered. A few weeks later, the company withdrew this

offer without warning and demanded over £800 in 'hire car' fees.When I

refused to pay, they appointed a third-party company to collect the car

and that would have left me without a car! I was left with no option but

to pay this extortionate fee since I needed the car for my daily

commute.

The correct car was eventually delivered in March 2014, nearly seven

months after ordering. I was assured that the tax disc and log book

would be sent straight away. These were not received and I was unable to

drive the car after the initial two week grace period without a tax

disc.

I phoned the DVLA to arrange for a replacement log book and tax disc

to be issued. They investigated and found that GB Car Deals had

registered the car to an insurance company with no connection to myself. This insurance company contacted the DVLA and declared that the

car (which had been sat on my driveway for months) was in their

possession. Strange!

After six weeks of constant telephone calls and emails, I eventually

persuaded the DVLA that it was my car after providing lots of photos and

documentation. They sent the new tax disc and log book out promptly,

however I was the second registered keeper on the log book.

Throughout the process, GB Car Deals did not want to help. I

occasionally received one-line abhorant emails from their director and

they now won't reply to any of my emails or letters.  They referred the

matter to a legal firm who are allegedly taking legal action against me

for this negative review.

The police, Trading Standards and the DVLA are fully aware of this

company's activity. I doubt that GB Car Deals will be around for

much longer.

UPDATE: The matter was referred to the Financial Omubdsman Service for

an independent review. After their thorough review, they agreed there

was some form of misrepresentation by Spectrum and I was awarded a full

refund, plus interest, upon return of the vehicle.

Nice Car Great Price

The webaite is GBcardeals.com. Bought a Ford Fiesta from them online. Friendly people . Excellent price. The delivery went without a hitch. Generally really happy with the experience and received several emails from them updating me on the ordering process. Would have been a 5 star rating except the car arrived 5 weeks later than originally estimated. The price made it well worth the wait. If you are, like me, prone to biting finger nails about buying something that expensive on the web, it's worth reading up on the protection Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act gives you for the total purchase if you pay the deposit by credit card. Spectrum were happy to receive the deposit by credit card with no additional fee.

It is charming that we British still refer colloquially to the vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C) as the logbook even though the latter (the VE60s) were phased out in the 1970s. However your thoughts about my employment are incorrect. I have spent my entire working life in the electricity supply industry. My review was merely my own experience of buying from this supplier. No warranties given or implied!! Methinks its time to end this dialogue.

I'm not in the trade and my review was about the log book. You said the V5C arrived in good order. I think you're in the trade.

Hi K21C,

No, never worked for them or in the motor industry for that matter. My only contact with them was for this purchase. Since writing my review the V5C Registration Certificate has arrived-all in good order. We were not the first registered owner (by 3 days) but they told me that much earlier when I inquired so I was not bothered.
