These guys sell junk, purchased a brand new compressor for my vehicle along with the other "warranty compliant" parts ie drier etc. Professionally installed for just under 1200.00.

Didn't cool well at all, and last night on my way home from work the compressor locked up causing the brand new belt to shred. After a $200 tow bill and yet another diagnosis my mechanic tells me that the entire job will have to be done again as it's very apparent that the brand new compressor catastrophically failed.

This is definitely not a discount having to do this again.

And to make matters worse, after following all the requirements for their warranty process, these jerks at discount ac don't want to replace their defective garbage or refund the purchase.

Looks like I'm going to have to reverse the charge on my CC since these people don't want to do the right thing.

Avoid these people at all costs!

I bought an AC kit for my Subaru and both the condenser and the compressor are both bad. One if the inlets of the condenser was clearly damaged from the factory. The compressor looks fine from the outside, but made a horribly grinding sound when the car was started. Had to pay my mechanic to do the work twice due to their faulty parts. All this company is willing to do is replace the parts, after you make a deposit of the purchase price again. Basically, they want to borrow money from you until they get their useless parts back. I cant afford to let them borrow $285 after having to pay more to get the work done. I don't think it is a good sign when the two main components of the kit were bad from the beginning, who would want a replacement and not a refund? They dont give refunds on any part that has been installed. When I called customer service, the girl I spoke to asked me if I just wanted to cut my losses because they would not give me a refund. So rude.

Their prices are low because their products are junk. Don't waste your time and money with this company.

Tip for consumers:

make sure you are aware of their return policy. if you install it and find out it doesn't work, they will not give a refund.

Ordered a a/c kit advertised as a new denso compressor , got a box and compressor that both had reman.. stickers on them , I sent it back its to much trouble to do this again . They claimed it is new but denso puts that reman sticker on them so there's not a conflict w/ dealers, I call this bait and switch and if thats not bad enough plan on being on hold for about an hour every time you call customer service , that might mean they have a lot of complaints

Ordered a condenser for AC unit, payed thru pal pal, about a day later an e-mail was sent order was canceled. No reason but when I went back on site,

the part was now $100. more in price. Next day 2nd e-mail sent explaining the item was back ordered sorry . Its best to do business with a good history behind them not these fly by nights. Buy from companies who stand by their prices, by the way they are not any less expensive than other dealers.

I purchased an AC kit for $350 on July 23, 2012. I had it professionally installed on 8/14. It never really worked well (compressor always made noise.) It failed with in a year and 10,000 miles.

Unfortunately I waited to long to call them and they would not provide a warranty replacement as I was 2 months outside of the 1 year warranty.

It wouldn't be smart to replace it with another poor quality part as the labor is more than the part.

But I felt compelled to make others aware. I wish I had looked at the complaints prior to purchasing.

"This company is really bad I bought a compressor from them the coil was bad. They will not replace it because the system wasn't flushed. First of all there is no mechanical connection to the coil. Second they are trying to hide behind so dumb process to cheat people please don't order from them. The small amount of savings isn't worth it. If you read the other posts if everything goes well your good. But if it doesn't they won't help you."

I purchased an AC compressor from DiscountACParts and it locked up after 2 days. I called and one person told me I had to send them a receipt showing I had replaced the condensor also and they would ship me out a new one. Then when I didnt get it my husband called again and DIFFERENT person said I had to get a mechanic to tell them it was locked up. No mechanic was gonna do that unless I paid them money and I had already put 600 dollars into the replacement parts. My husband is a mechanic for over 20 years, he knows what he's doing, when you have a faulty part ...you have a faulty part. No where in the spot where you pay for the compressor online and click the warranty button does it say you have to jump through hoops to get them to make good on their parts. It only makes it look like they will guarantee there parts to no end! I have emailed several times and no one gets back to me. I have purchased parts from so many companies online and never had an issue until I dealt with Discountacparts. I will never purchase another thing from this company and whenever I get a chance I will let the world know how bad their parts and their customer service is. It has been a month and I haven't gotten the results I should. They need to make good on their parts like they say they are on their website. It's already tuff enough in this economy to have to deal with bad companies that just want to rip people off! Shame on them!!!!!

discount a/c parts sent me the wrong compressor and the told me to

buy a smaller belt to accommodate the smaller compressor .

they never admitted that the part was wrong or appoligize.

sales mngr will not return my E-mails or phonecalls.

I did not appreciate being treated as though I did something wrong.

this situation is yet unresolved.

I do not recomend this company to any one.

Ordered ac compressor from Discount AC Parts on June 1. Shipped same day,

received June 3. Part right and price excellent.

Very satisfied.
