Out Of Stock!

WTF!? Site says they had ample stock, but 3 days after my order I am still waiting for a confirmation on shipping. I contacted via live chat and got to chat with someone with broken English. BIG RED FLAG! She tells me they need "24 hour" not 24 hours, but "24 hour". Beautiful..

Finally says they found "2 wheel" not 2 wheels at one warehouse and 2 at another. They will all ship separately. Are they for real? Once I get my purchase, if I ever do, this will be my last time shopping at partstrain.com

Catalytic Converter

This is not a good place to do business. I ordered a Catalytic Converter to my Nissan Maxima SE Automatic Transmission. When I was ordering it the website did not give me a option to select Automatic or Manual when it came to me it was not the correct part so I called them and the rep told me whole bunch of things and said that return shipping label will be emailed to me which I never got so I called them the next day and they saying that my purchase does not cover return shipping and that they need the part on the original box it self for any refunds. So I still took the package in the original box to FEDEX whom they used to send the package to me and they are saying that they cannot use the same box coz its got a hole in it and that hole was there when I received the package. this PARTS TRAIN box is a cheap corrugate box and this is their trick so that we cannot return what we buy from them. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM... GET PARTS FROM ROCK AUTO.

I ordered a pair of strut mounts for my Jag and got the correct parts delivered without shipping and handling charges in two business days.

They Sent Wrong Parts, Stay Away From These People.

I ordered a clutch kit and they sent me a wrong kit in the correct box (who would've thought!).

Installed it, the wrong clutch disc damaged the flywheel and that gave the crankshaft a jerk and a bearing came loose. All i asked them was to refund me for the extra labor I had to pay to remove the wrong parts ($600).

They refused and told me the warranty is covered by the manufacturer.They said they'll contact the manufacturer, but they never did.

UPDATE: After negotiating with them over 3 months, finally they agreed to pay me a fraction of the cost.

Worst Company Ever!

What a joke! I placed an order, waited a week and heard nothing about it shipping.I contacted them, twice, and found out that it would be another 2.5 weeks before it would ship. I told them to cancel the order and received confirmation that it was cancelled. I placed the order from a different company. A couple of hours later, I got an email showing that it had shipped, then another saying it was too late to cancel. They also charged my account, making it short for the other orders placed. Now they want me to pay the return shipping and a restock fee on something that never should have shipped. Highly unethical business practices. I should have done the research and read reviews before ordering. Hopefully this will save others from the same headache. Do not do business with Parts Train

Customer Service Is A Clown Show

Probably my worst online retail experiences ever.

Ordered replacement headlight WITH bulbs. Headlights arrived very quickly, but without bulbs. Called customer service and was offered $10 refund and asked to buy the bulbs locally. Bulbs cost 13.95 each on Parts Train website. Declined this ludicrous offer and asked them to just send me the missing bulbs. Was given a long story about how hard that was to do.

Received an email a few days later asking me to verify what I ordered. Why don't they have record of what I ordered? Verified that I did indeed order (and pay for) the part number that includes bulbs.

Got tired of waiting and bought bulbs locally ($40.00) and installed headlights.

Received multiple emails days later saying my return had been approved and replacement headlights were being shipped. Didn't ask for this, don't want this, willing to eat the cost of the bulbs to never have to deal with Parts Train again.

One Of The Worst Companies I've Ever Dealt With!

I entered all the information for a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix in to their website and it showed a part that I needed at a very good price. I had a feeling it was too good of a deal to be true but I went against my instincts and ordered the part. When the part arrived I found that it was not for the vehicle that I entered on their website. I contacted them, sent it back ,and a few days later I was notified that I would receive only a partial refund minus their restocking fee. The error was their fault and I feel that I should have received a full refund including the shipping and handling fees. The original cost was about $40.00 which included shipping. It cost me about $9.00 to return it and I received about $29.00 refund. So, it cost me about $48.00 all together and I only got back from this company about 60% of what I spent. They still refuse to even refund the full amount so I will never do business with them again and if anyone reading this has half a brain, they won't either.

Don't Do It

They will ship you a POS part that Cracker Jack wouldn't put in a box. I am a handy guy with every tool in the book. I worked all day trying to install the part that was supposedly for my truck without success.

Paid For Overnight Shipped Snail

My company needed a part shipped quickly so we paid over 30:00 shipping for overnight delivery. They shipped it to us using 5 day ground delivery. Customer service was indifferent of the problem. First time we have used Parts Train and it will now be the last. If you are ordering from them do not pay for the extra shipping. Use there slowest service it will get to you at the same time and cost you less.
