Took Money And Didn't Have The Tyres They Sold Me

Got a text 5 days after ordering to advise they had a stock problem and offered completely different tyres as a replacement which were not the same premium tyre band. Now waiting for refund and have to order elsewhere costing me more money and another week of my time rebooking it in with someone else.

Useless

Ordered tyres, then got a text to say out of stock, but similar ones would be fit.

Then a text to say fitter couldn’t make it and a much later date was suggested. After waiting for 15 mins on hold managed to get a closer date.

Then another text saying mobile fitter couldn’t make it and another later date was offered. Waited another 15 mins and told they couldn’t fit them any sooner.

Order cancelled.

Terrible customer service.

Poor Service

Paid for 2 mid range tyres, than got text next day tyres were out of stock so they told me they would replace with 2 budget tyres for same price. The replacement tyres are no where as good as the original ones ordered so declined cancelled order despite them taking payment, now waiting for PayPal to refund me money that should never have been taken in the first place.

Customer Service Does Not Go Far Enough

Ordered Goodyear allseason tyres online. The day before fitting I phoned the garage for a time to go, so as to save waiting and was told that Tyreshoper had sent 4 Michelin tyres, although the guy at the garage told me that the Michelin tyres sent were all season (NO they are not!).

Phoned tyre shopper and they apologised for not letting me know and located the all season tyres I wanted and a fitting date was arranged. The tyres had come down in price and they promised a refund which never happened.

The day before the tyres were to be fited I again phoned the garage mid-afternoon to arrange a time and was told tht they had not arrived, but we will check and ring you back. No phone call received.

Next day (Christmas eve) I tried to contact the garage several times for about 20 minutes and no reply. Phoned Tyre shopper, who 20 minutes later came back to me and said the tyres were there and they had spoken to their own manager who said I could go anytime between then and 3pm.

I already had my day planned out and this messing about had put me back so much that I was not prepared to travel across town and sit and wait whilst a fitter became free because they can't communicate, so I cancelled the tyres.

In fairness a refund arrived back on my card within a few days.

Do Not Waste Your Time.

They clearly to do not stock the tyres. They take your money then go and try to find the tyres. I have a performance car, looking for higher end tyres. They did not have the first choice. They told me three days after. They where nice on the phone, yet could not find any of the tyres they had listed on the site.

Would not use

Never, Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever, Again !!!

Bought two tyres from tyre-shopper.co.uk at 27/08/2013. Unfortunately tyres were defected. Were rebalanced 4-5 times, did not help. Were sent to manufacture at 11/09/2013 and SINCE that date totally usless people from TYRE-SHOPPER.CO.UK still do not know what is going on with my tyres or money. So far they keep me uninformed, unpaid etc for 252 days. I sent them letter 2 weeks ago - no answer, nothing. Called 3x this week - nothing, no knowledge absolutely incopetence. What kind of people working for this dodgy company. When you caal them they a bored, and you feel you bother them.

My sincere advice: Just pay an extra 2-5 pounds per tyre and buy tyres from the normal companies not from the most ridiculous company TYRE-SHOPPER.CO.UK

Tyre Guarantee Will Still Hurt Your Pocket

4 days after getting a full set of Continental tyres fitted with their 'Tyre Accidental Damage Lifetime Guarantee' I got a puncture.

"No problem" I thought as their tyre guarantee would surely cover it.

I put my spare on and took my tyre back to the garage that had fitted them.

To my shock I was told that whilst it was covered on their guarantee, I would only be able to get 80% off the replacement price. Whilst this would be better than nothing, I had forked out extra for this guarantee and given that I had driven less than 100miles!

I queried this with the manager at the garage and was told that on the outer treads there was less than 8mm of tread left which only allowed me an 80% discount. This was again echoed by Tyre Shoppers customer service team.

I was powerless to do anything and as a result had to fork out even though it was clear that there tyres were brand new and had not even lost a fraction of a mm of tread.

I shall be reporting Tyre Shopper to Trading Standards.

Took 12 Days To Get A Price-match Offer, So Bought Elsewhere

I had previously bought tyres from Tyreshopper before, and found the service easy to use, especially as they have a fitting dealer locally (National Tyres). This time I wanted to buy 2 Goodyear All-Season tyres; I found a cheaper fully-fitted price at another online seller's website, but thought I would stick with Tyreshopper if they could match the price. As required, I emailed their Customer Services with relevant information, and got an instant automated reply, saying they would respond soon. After 6 days and no response I emailed them again, and got another automated reply. I wasn't prepared to wait any longer, so bought the tyres from a competitor, at the best price I could find. After 12 days Tyreshopper responded with a matching price offer - but too late in their case.

I don't know if this was a holding technique in case of the tyres being unavailable, but it doesn't look like good customer care in my view. As I wanted a particular brand and type of tyre, I would not have accepted a cheaaper alternative, which it appears has happened to other customers.

Valueless Guarantee

In August we bought two Bridgestone tyres from Tyre Shopper which came with a free 'guarantee'. Last week one of these tyres suffered a puncture when my wife was driving. As soon as she realised something was wrong she pulled over as soon as it was safe to do so. She took the tyre back to National Tyres who had fitted them. They told her she would have to contact Tyre Shopper regarding the guarantee and with 7mm of tread left she ought to get a replacement tyre for around £15.

We contacted Tyre Shopper last week and were told they would have to speak to National Tyres and would call us back. A week later we had heard nothing so contacted Tyre Shopper again. They said they had spoken to National Tyres but it was not possible to determine why the tyre had failed as it had been driven on after it suffered the puncture, therefore the guarantee was invalid.

The moral here is that if you have a ‘guaranteed’ tyre from Tyre Shopper you must stop the very instant a puncture occurs wherever you are! Alternatively just buy your tyres from a more honourable company……

We ordered winter tyres in November and were given a fitting date in December.15 Days after the money had been taken out of our account. We turned up to have the tyres fitted and they had not been sent. "Not available" they said when we phoned them. No explanation for why we had not been told before.. We were then promised them for two days later but now after phoning the fitting station again to check, we have been told not to expect a replacement tyre for another ten days. Still no tyres!
