Terrible Customer Service
I am very disappointed, I considered this company competent and caring for the customer, and I was left without a gift and without the desire to help from the customer service. The order was placed almost 10 days ago, standard delivery should take place within 7 days, they divided the order into two parts, one arrived, the other more expensive did not. Information from the carrier has not changed for a week, what I heard was that I have to wait until the 27th and if I do not receive it, they will consider the package lost. So yes, thank you very much for the lack of a gift and money before Christmas. Last purchases, I do not recommend.

Debenhams Doesn’t Deliver. Literally.
I bought a mascara from Debenhams which they delivered next day… to the wrong address. The delivery man from Evri sent a photo of a parcel hanging out of a white door as proof of delivery … it was not my door. They have refused a refund or to repost, insisting that it’s been delivered, despite me sending photos of my very grey door. After several emails, they are now refusing to respond. I’m lost for words.

Dreadful Customer Service
I ordered a pair of black summer shorts in time for going away. The 'shorts' didn't arrive in time but I found them in my 'safe place'. SADLY they were most definitely not what I had ordered. The item was a pair of black corduroy bib=fronted shorts - certainly not suitable for a woman of a certain age.
I have found it impossible to read the order number beginning DUX....... and neither has my email address or the last four digits of my phone number been recognised. Neither does there appear to be ANY customer service available.
I am very disappointed as when Debenhams was in the High Street it was my go to store.

Debenhams has seriously gone down hill. Even though I tried to deal with head office to solve a problem they are no longer interested.
Terrible customer service! There new ‘don’t care’ attitude is disappointing. I’ve shopped with them for 25 years on a weekly basis and they have lost me for £10 exchange!
What a shame! Stick to John Lewis in the future, they still value their customers.

Shocking Service - Click And Collect
I ordered a suit online via click and collect at the liverpool store.
The suit was for a wedding and was due to arrive the day of the wedding. It never arrived. The store couldn't tell me when it would arrive either.
I wasn't allowed to cancel the order and swap it for another suit from the store. I was told I would have to buy another and wait for a refund.
The store staff weren't interested. I complained online and received a similarly disinterested reply. Basically "your suit will be there in a couple of day - take it or leave it"
Utterly abysmal service. No wonder they are struggling,

Webside Horrible To Use Today
This has happened to me before but I had forgotten. Again trying to choose and buy online, the expiry date could not be put in because the slider stopped at 7 and I needed 12. Having finally got over that when it finally worked, I proceeded to put in all my debit card details which it happily took from me. Then I was stopped from proceeding past the "to checkout". As I had put in everything and I am experienced in buying online without hitches, I thought maybe my order had gone through. Apparently not as nothing came into my email account confirming my order. It made me nervous of hackers. Otherwise Debenham is a lovely store as are local staff.

Had jacket potato with prawns today in your restaurant in Carlisle,it didn’t come with a salad as it does everywhere else.Prawns were almost tasteless,potato was over cooked and served in a cereal bowl making it very difficult to cut as the bowl kept revolving.At £4.95 was very much overpriced.Will not eat here again and would not recommend.

Day off - unpaid - no order delivered. 25 mins holding on phone - unpaid - no answer. Just so bad and still not resolved. It’s just not on and toataaly stressful

Selling Dangerous Goods
selling dangerous goods.
Having purchased a picture from Debenhams it fell and broke within a few minutes of being hung on the wall. One of the mounts have broken under the weight of the picture. Luckily it missed my granddaughter.
My wife has just spent around an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue and I cannot believe how inept their staff are when it comes to customer service.
Will never buy from them again. If you have shares in Debenhams I suggest you sell them as a business with this level of customer service will not be around for much longer. Does any business have a Trust Pilot score worse than Debenhams?
