BuyCosmetics.com is one site that I really like and always go back to. I have been using them for at least 7 years now so the site must be even older than that.

BuyCosmetics sells a range of beauty products but not in the way that a store like Boots does. Boots seems to have *everything*, but you do pay full RRP for it. BuyCosmetics is different in that it sells a selective range but at very good prices. The products are not always the latest versions available but, hey, if we were buying them as 'good enough' last year then my thinking says that they are good enough this year, too! Whether you are looking for makeup, skincare, fragrances or just a nice gift idea, then BuyCosmetics has something for you and it is definitely worth trying.

In the time that I have been using them, I have probably placed at least 40 orders with them, so I think I have seen enough to know what is good and what is bad about them.

I would say that 35 of my orders have been faultless. I have saved money on all of them and they have arrived promptly and exactly as described. That's what makes me keep going back!

I have had a problem of one kind or another probably 5 times. On one occasion, an item was missing from my order; on another, an electrical item didn't work properly; on another, my order never arrived (thanks to Royal Mail); on another, I received the wrong coloured item to the one I'd ordered; and on another, a promotion code I had been given didn't work properly so I didn't get a free gift that I was expecting. I think that's a complete list!

To me, the true measure of a company is how good they are when it comes to customer support, i.e. when something goes wrong, and I have to say that with each and every problem I have had, I cannot fault the speed and the way that my 'complaint' was handled. I have dealt with them by phone and by email and I have always been delighted by a genuine 'aim to please' attitude that BuyCosmetics seem to have. It's like the staff really do love their jobs and really want to help! I find that very refreshing because it certainly isn't like that with a lot of companies. Suffice to say, I am accepting of the fact that sometimes things do go wrong but I can only report that I am delighted at the way that BuyCosmetics has always handled any situation where there has been a problem.

If I had any 'criticism' of BuyCosmetics, I would repeat that they have a very limited range of products on offer most of the time. So, for example, if you want a black mascara, then they might only have a choice of 2 or 3 whereas Boots will overwhelm you with choice. In fact, I'm not sure which is better! There's something about having less choice that is more appealing. The thing with BuyCosmetics is that you will generally always get at least a choice of a more expensive version (but still cheaper than RRP) and then a perfectly good less expensive version of a product. To me, part of deciding whether you like BuyCosmetics is deciding whether you like lots of choice or not. To me, less is far easier!

In terms of pricing, you cannot go wrong with BuyCosmetics. I used to pricematch when I first started using them but now I don't even bother because they have always been very competitively priced whenever I have checked. Even their £2.95 shipping charge (free if you spend over £35) is very reasonable.

Anyway, that's my opinion of BuyCosmetics. To anyone out there considering buying from them, I would say go fot it! Experience tells me that they won't let you down and you will be delighted with the order that you receive.

BTW Always check the voucher sites for special promotion codes you can use at BuyCosmetics. There always seems to be at least one current one that will save you more money or bag you a free gift or something.
