Ordered on line and it has to be the easiest site to navigate .I was quite late in ordering for Christmas as I had hoped to get into the shop. However I need not have worried as the item arrived within a couple of days.

I bought a Dar ceiling light and Barnitts was by far the cheapest supplier on the internet. It came straight from the supplier in good time and is excellent quality. Barnitts kept me in the loop throughout. I'm York born and bred. Barnitts is part of York's history. A fantastic shop to visit. Full of everything you need and more. I imagine a stocktake is a nightmare!!

Ordered a light fitting. It was much cheaper than other places we'd found. Postage said 3-5 days. We received an email say8ng there was a delay, and it would be despatched around 10 days from date, but they epuld keep us updated, then received a despatch confirmation three days later. Happy days, it came earlier than predicted. Well packaged, and superb communication

Just discovered this shop when on a brief visit to York. My goodness, couldn’t believe the amount of stock they carry and saw a few bargains as well. Once home, I accidentally damaged my frying pan and after trying to replace it locally, thought I’d have a look on Barnitts site. I found just what I was looking for and it was a reasonable price even with postage and packing costs.It arrived very quickly, extremely well packaged and I love it!Best shop ever!

I live in Cheshire and had never heard of Barnitts but when looking for rigid plastic mesh with small holes [ to use as new pond protector from Herons eating fish ] via google search found what I wanted at a competitive price and took a chance.

Mesh arrived far quicker than I expected - especially as ordered over bank holiday weekend; and whilst not yet installed an initial look suggests it is good quality.

If we are ever in York we will pay a visit to the store.
