Really Happy with our overall service from Crown Tiles

We recently had some work done on the house and used crown tiles again for our flooring, price was good, service was great from start to finish. Would highly recommend using these.

Used Crown Tiles a few times and I have been pleased every single time brilliant service and very good on price, I would recommend to family and friends. I was only looking at samples and in the end, needed up buying for my bathroom and kitchen. They give me extra discount for the qty I was buying

I'm really unimpressed with the customer service. The website doubled my order and charged me twice. I emailed customer service on the 14th of September "Hi All, My order has gone through twice and charged me twice.I thought that the order hadn't gone through on my card so I then tried with PayPal but it appears to have gone through twice. Could you please arrange for a refund of one of the orders and to cancel the second delivery as I only want one of each sample.

Thank you."

The website had said that the card didn't go through because I needed to enter my verified by visa details. I could not enter the details as the webpage froze. I then refreshed my cart and chose to pay by paypal instead.

I received a quick response to my email from the person I dealt with bluntly stating "Hi,We have an automated system and both samples are on the way to you." and that was it. No suggestion as to how they could resolve the problem. that was that and now I am down money and I have tiles that I don't want. I emailed him back on that same day to ask how a refund could be processed then and how I could return the unwanted tiles and my email was ignored. One week later I gave him the benefit of the doubt and emailed again "Hi, I don't know if you have received my last email. The crown tiles website has taken my order twice. Can you please let me know how you can amend the situation? Thank you"

And again I have been ignored. The company seem to be so unwilling to help and correct the mistakes of their website. The technical errors aren't even what I have a problem with as I understand that sometimes these things happen but to ignore your customers is just something else.

It's a pity because I like one of the samples and would like to purchase more of the tiles however I don't want to be charged twice or ignored again so I will be going elsewhere.

This is the same company trading online as both Tilechoice.co.uk and Crowntiles.co.uk so you need to watch the prices as the tiles I wanted were £12 per sq m cheaper on Crown Tiles than on Tile Choice with the same delivery charge of £24 under £150. Most of the tiles I compared were way dearer on Tile Choice so opt for Crown Tiles if buying online - check the SKU code number across sites. Also watch the delivery charge. I called up to find out if one box could be any cheaper as £24 seemed excessive. I was told that the charge was for pallet delivery and it was the cost of a quarter pallet. I could choose Parcelforce delivery for £10 if I was prepared to take the hit for breakages as they would not be responsible. I went ahead and ordered online and paid the £24 grudgingly but the tiles came 2 days later by........ Parcelforce! So I called them up and got the £14 excess refunded but many people who have paid the delivery charge without checking would not know the true cost involved so I figure this is out of order and should be made clearer. When I rang for the £14 refund I asked what would have happened if any had broken and they said they would have been replaced so if THEY choose Parcelforce that's fine but if YOU choose it you are responsible for breakages! Great tiles - and the only stockists - shame about the sneaky cost issues.
