1st delivery perfect

2nd a mess! Drivers attitude was abysmal and left without delivering citing MY rudeness! He had got lost and told me he was not working after 5pm

This in spite of a 6pm delivery threshold

I lost a day off work for this and after filing a complaint secured a delivery the following day

This was a mess the driver had no tailing so 46 heges had to be removed one by one by hand

36! On ONE PALLET! 2 were damaged/ dead and I had to help the driver unload them

I was told to call Heges Direct on the Wednesday 1st March to file yet another complaint only to be told on the day that " the team" (what a joke) font answer call om Wednesdays!

I emailed 3 Times since then and had no reply

This was 6 days ago

I an STOPPING PAYMENT until suitable recompense is made!

Absolutely perfect service again from Hedges Direct. £7.99 delivery charge sounds a bit much for 4 plants but when you see how well packaged they are and next day service you can’t get better.

Well established plants aswell at a great price!

Placed a order with Hedges Direct they took payment straight away, had email from them stating my order was delayed by 2 weeks

Had another email few days later stating my order was out for delivery

The quality of the plants was evidently poor when I took them from the box in black bin bag no straw or damp paper on bare roots no care at all these bare roots where completely dried out even placing them in water and leaving for a few days has had very little effect

Out of order of 18 plants I have 5 plants that are alive the rest are dead

Hedges Direct solution is I can purchase replacement plants from them despite there site stating all there plants have 12 months guarantee - I will have to pay a further delivery charge at end of year to get the remaining plants

I have asked for a refund of the plants that they sent dead but this has gone on deaf ears there not interested in giving the customer what they want

Best advice is NEVER use this firm ever again

Ordered two hedging plants for a gardening customer of mine - when they arrived the box was wet at the bottom and was the correct way up but upon opening the box found that the plants had been put in upside-down and had suffered some damage.

The plants were only just at the lower end of 60-90cms and the two identical plants were of totally different growth rates One was quite bushy whereas the other had only three stems. For £27 I would have expected better from a company like this.

I have sent three emails with photos attached but have so far not received a reply, which says it all really. A shame for them as I will not be sending any more orders to them in the future.

Repeated delays, inaccurate information and chaotic organisation- never use this company. 500 hedge plants ordered and constant excused or wrong information given by customer service - plants now lost somewhere up north and nit delivered in time to plant!

Purchased 3x40 pyracantha red berry 60cm/90cm height in 2lt pots. Upon delivery not one of the 120 plants measured beyond 80cm. The majority were between 60cm and 70cm. Extremely misleading description on the hedges direct website. On this basis I would not recommend hedges direct as they have not delivered what they advertised. They should provide an honest description so that future customers can make an informed decision.

Purchased four large and one small laurels plus two packets of feed as recommended by the company suitable for infilling existing hedge. All plants have died within four months despite regular watering. The company accept no responsibility whatsoever, and have even suggested we buy replacement plants from them, even though suggesting these might not survive either.

I wish I had read these reviews first.

Avoid this company. The plants arrives but with a disease. Not interested in us now they had the money.

Take your money somewhere else.

Placed an order online received an email the next day saying there was a problem and to give them a call. I rang hedges and got a helpful chap on the other end the problem was they couldn't deliver 2 hedges at the height I wanted but could box 2 slightly smaller alternatives this was fine.

The money came out of my account and a week passed and no hedges delivered.

The next call I got someone that didn't seem to know anything about my order and said he would go look into it and call me back but never did.

I phoned and asked to speak to a manager but shock horror the manager was unavailable but would call me back....I'm still waiting.

Shocking service. Made order postage free, payment taken and then contacted via email to charge me £50 as a contribution! Rip off never against.
